How much did you earn with short links? What are your strategies?

As per the title what are your strategies to earn with shortlinks? I'm thinking about starting a faucet.

Can you make money with shortlinks? How? I think the only thing is to post shortlinks about your business, then how to make money?

Some shortlink services display ads to visitors and pay you for it.

Linkvertise used to be popular for this, but I'm not sure if they're still around.

However, this business model isn't great. It's better to use content locking or other ways to make money. Otherwise, you'll just waste your time and traffic.

I don't own one so I may be wrong here but I believe I read/someone said that it's not that much. Ball park figure is around $5 or so per 1000 views which if my math is correct, is about half a cent per view. I think it also depends on the site you use as well. You might be able to get $10 per 1000 views. Something like $20+ is like unheard of though, in my experience anyway.

What do u mean by content locking?
