How much $ can I get for ad space, for a site with 10,000 unique visitors per day?

    Hello, I'm new here.

I run a comedy website featuring funny videos, pictures, etc. There are currently no advertisements on the site. According to Google Analytics, I have about 10,000 unique visitors per day and it's growing quickly.

I am looking to sell advertisement space internally, without using AdSense or any other third party company. (AdSense and InfoLinks wouldn't work since I host some copyrighted material).

I have no idea what a fair asking price is. I know it depends on placement on the page, etc.. but can anyone give me a range?

    Thanks

You can register with buysellads I think and set price per 1k impressions..

price depends on the traffic, is it somehow targeted? by country maybe? obviously in case first world countiries, price will be higher..

But I think for this kind of website optimal price would be 0.5$-0.8$ per 1k impressions..

But honestly I'd monetize it in other way, I'd take that traffic and use it to get some facebook likes on pages and then flip them.. shoot me a PM if you'd like to do this kind of stuff :)

I have about 5k likes on facebook right now but I'm not sure what you mean by flipping them -- ill PM you.

Is there a way to just have someone pay me a monthly fee for the space, or is CPM the only way to go?

Just realized I cant PM until I have 15 posts. Woops.

    hi cringy,

try to resell software on tradebit. It's an easy sale and you get 70% commission, when you choose the right item.

thanks! I will look into it.

So from what I understand, it doesn't make sense to try to enter monthly partnerships with people to sell ad space on the site? Why not?
