This primarily depends upon your market niche.

There's a hosting company in Utah that charges $3000 to $6000 for a one domain hosting service. (Yes you read right. They get to place one domain on a limited hosting account) They have hundreds of buyers.

I charge $29.99 to my market niche and have no problems. Then again I include a lot of extras that other hosting services don't provide.

I'm going to be posting a "Make Money Niche Hosting" next weekend if I get a moment. You may want to take a look at it.

garxextreme has it right.. It all depends on your niche.

I charge anywhere from 29.99 - $50.00 for straight hosting.. And about double that on basic dedicated servers. Some are less than me, some are more. It all boils down to your niche and what value beyond serving pages you bring to the table.

    Jag1650 and Grafextreme,

This thread is making me think that I should offer my services more widely. I look forward to your "Make Money Niche Hosting" next weekend.

I have been targeting the network marketing community because they are ripe for working on the Internet. Right now it is only limited to sites that I have built for clients. After the first 30 days of completing the web site build, I charge $500 per month for hosting and limited off-site link building (SEM), which I outsource for $100 per month. I barely put in an hour a week on the hosting side.

So my upside is $400 per month per client. I have 20 clients so far and I never have anyone complain about my fees! I think it is because everyone is happy with their sites and how fast I get them ranking for their target keywords. Also, I think it has to do with the fact that the people that I do business with are making great money and are not looking to nickle and dime for good services.

Now I just need to find out how to best market my services. Maybe hit up a few forums you think?

    Thanks,
    Alexa

I make websites and offer hosting as part of the overall package so I've been able to charge around $30 montly with a reseller plan. I could probably get away with charging more just because of the amount of time the customer is saving by having me do everything for them. Take things like that into consideration.

Thanks for sharing, I am doing something similar with networking here in Orlando. However I have not been getting clients that can spend those fees on online marketing... I charge them 350 for seo which I too outsource and sign them up for $30 a month hosting to where I get 25...

How can I market to a client similar to your level of client?

    Hi Jag,

I think it is about finding those network marketers that are successful. I happen to know quite a few successful network marketers and they introduced me to my first handful of clients. These people are making in excess of $20K per month at home with little effort. Some make as much as $100K per month. So charging them $500 a month is nothing. Their attitude is that they want to outsource to experts and not worry about it.

Now that I have great references, I will try to find folks in network marketing forums and see what that yields.

    Good luck,
    Alexa
