    How much should I ask?

I'm ready to get some clients, I even already prepared the websites that they need.
But I'm having some trouble at the final price to ask..somewhere I read 200$, somewhere 1.500$, it's confusing.

If I rank the site on the first page, how much should I ask?
200$ seems too low to me.

Let's say I have a client who have a business where each person I bring him with page rank 1, it's worth 100$.
The search volume for that keyword is 50/60 searches per month, let's say that only 5 of them will call him.
    That's already 500$ for him.

    Hey man,

Whether you are providing SEO, consulting, marketing solutions in general or simply selling bread, the price of your product/service should be according to the value provided while taking a look at your expenditure.

Charging €1k or €50k a month is not only possible but it is sometimes a must for some companies. Of course you should aim to offer something more than just SEO; you can seduce your clients by offering other web exposure solutions that will increase their brand awareness and recognition or many other forms of online marketing solutions.

Anyways, charge them whatever you think YOUR service is worth. If you feel that you should be paid $50 an hour or $250 an hour then charge them accordingly :)

    Best of luck!

To rank a keyword that has 60 searches per month is easy and no one will pay you even a $50 for that.

The price for ranking a keyword should be determent by the volume and the difficulty of the same keyword, not buy how much money they will make if you bring them to top 10.

I really do not see it that way.

Check the home security niche for example, check payday loans, check dentists.
There are keywords around 50 to 200 that are EXTREMELY competitive.

Not only sometimes will be required to charge a client higher since you will require way more work but sometimes when it comes to business where individuals are getting paid highly per client, the business will be more than happy to pay.

If you charged accordingly to the competition you would never be able to get ahead of the game. You should charge according to the competition but you should also charge according to your value. I personally would never take any less than €150 an hour, and I believe setting standards for your brands is highly important to achieve competitive advantage.

    Agreed ! its perfect answer!

I will add one thing, do not focus on price if its your first client or you are just building your rep+, getting on first page is not easy, many people calims and even on fiverr you will find top rated gigs of only $5.

If client is confirmed and solid you can ask for more, you can also offer him monthly packages or services based packages.

Don't forget about taxes, if you charge 500 you will get around 250, so keep that in mind.

Usually, price = Number of hours I intend to work on the project x Rate per hour + Extra Expenses (resources, links, social signals, and so on)

How many hours? Only experience can tell you. That's my recipe.

    100% right!

I have keyword from 150 searches a month, try to rank it for 28 months in top 3 now and its still sitting on #5.
