How many times do you think its safe and productive to link from internal page (blog page) to the main page ? I am trying to boost my homepage rankings, but there is no much text on it, cause its a service site. So I try to create a blog posts with internal links to homepage with different anchors. Is it also necessary to abide safety rules concering anchor texts from internal poages or you have more freedom here ? I am linking 2 times to homepage from 1000 word blog article, with diferent anchors (exact match etc).... Any expereienced users please help. Thanks.

Your internal links aren’t going to rank your homepage in serps. External links are what does that. You can make as many internal links as you want to. It’s all safe.

İts rather debatable. Content plays a mojaro role in SEO.

Content and external links are two different things. But if you don’t like my answer from my own experience then hopefully someone will come along that will tell you what you want to hear..?

Best of luck ranking your websites with internal links :anyway:

If you knew the answer why then are you still seeking for answers?

There's litle relationship between this response you gave with his answer.

Internal links cannot help your homapage rank it is actually the opposite. Your homepage typically has more authority or link juice and would be of benefits to your inner pages if they're linked from the homepage than the homepage would benefit from links coming from inner pages.

Internal links are meant to spread authority and link juice across inner pages not to the homepage. A well done internal linking would have most pages on the website benefiting from the authority/link juice of the homepage.

Finally, the best way to boost your homepage ranking through backlinks is by sending quality links to your homepage. I don't know the kind of site you own, I don't see the need to boost the homepage ranking because it'll typically pick up on its own. The advantage of sending links to the homepage is that your other pages in turn benefit greatly from this link especially when you do proper interlinking.

From my experience,

Internal links DO actually play a role in SEO

However, they more-so determine which pages Google Search should place more value on, in terms of what shows in search

ie: the "home" link is invaluable and will pretty much show Google which page to show up for your brand name and main keywords related to site

Then, having content 'deep linked' within the pages of content in your 'navigation' bar.. it's important.. b/c they then 'come to life' as their own 'sub-index' which Google can place higher value on as it has content within just that section.

I usually have content that i create only for each individual page of my 'navigation links'

And if i want a particular product to show up in search, i create content to link to from that page's description

Depends on the type of site how complicated I get with it but I LOVE internal links from deep-linked content

I think that what OP is concerned about is getting a penguin penalty for over optimization of internal links generally and maybe anchor text.

Penguin does not penalize over internal links. You won’t get any penalty for using the same anchor text on internal links over and over. I’ve done it on numerous websites for a decade now.

Make your internal links natural first. They are for your users to use! You can’t game google with internal links.

Hopefully this helps.
