How many tier 2 links do I need to point to my tier 1 so that they actually have some link juice for my money site.
I was thinking to make about 300 wiki links (PR3-8) and 300 bookmarks (PR1-8) and additionally 4-5 niche backlinks with PR2+ to each of my tier 1. Over a period of ~20 days.

Should that be enough or do I need even more?

it depends on the competition of the keyword. So what was your competition?

It's a hard competition keyword. But I plan to do about 50 Web 2.0 the way I explained above.

Just enough to go round the tier one. Lets say anything from 15 to 30 and beyond links on each of the tier 1 is great.

The blue prints I've looked at suggested 400 wikis, and around 600-800 social bookmarks for tier 2/3. Also 400-500 forum profiles, and multiple thousands of blog comments for indexing purposes.

The 4-5 niche pr2+ backlinks for your tier 1 is a solid call, you want to treat your tier 1's almost if not exactly the same as your main site, not just as a buffer.

For hard competition keyword you wont go anywhere with that plan, for hard keywords you'll need something like 5k
-10k web 2.0 to join the top5 club.

As many as you need homey! Theres no exact number to the formula. Its all about the competition and your current backlink profile.

In my view it depends on how many Tier1 you do have for me i donot think anything wrong to have 20-80 tier2 links per tier1 link for eg with a variety of main keyword + LSI/Long tail keywords + generic keywords.
