It's a simple question, I am running xrumer on two dell enterprise 8 processor servers (these are my servers that only are running xrumer), but I only have a 10mbps down and 3mbps up connection (at my place). Does anyone have an idea of what is optimal for this?

I am currently running 500 threads on hrefer with no issues, using 5-9% of the processors (xrumer is spreading the load on all processors!)

I am running 150 threads on xrumer, which is using about 10% of the processors.

Tcp connections aren't an issue here, they can support 10,000 connections each. (these aren't your standard windows boxes with 10-50 connections)

The servers are each capable of serving 22,000 webpages per minute.

What I would like to know, is how to tell if I am running too many threads and maxing out the internet connection. Also, what settings do you use for peridocity (ms)? Can I safely up the number of threads and then increase peridocity to account for the internet issue?

It seems that with only one server up and running at 10% I am maxing out my connection. Can anyone confirm this thought? Everything on my network is 100mbps or greater (network cards, routers, etc).

I really want to sort this out as I have another server to fire up!

Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated:biggthump

10Mbps down and youre using 500 threads on hrefer? how much is your proxylist then and are you using the built in scraper?

    for me thats just abuse
youre actually compromising the quality of the database
my server runs at 25Mbps down and im only using max 100 threads of Hrefer

in Xrumer, I also use max 100 threads

why rush when you have all the time?
I do it slowly but surely

Yes, I am using the built in scraper.

Will I compromise the program doing this? Would it be better if I split them among the two servers and cut the number of threads in half?

The only reason that I am hitting it so hard is that I have 40+ different campaigns to promote and am looking at mass scale postings.

Some of the postings are going to be slow and steady, where some are truly blasts to doorway pages aimed at generating traffic, not search engine rankings. It doesn't matter if they are blacklisted, as I plan to only use some of the doorways for a few weeks.
