Depends on resources each site uses. Auto blogs will use more then normal.

With my host 50-60 normal WP sites is the norm.

Depends on the size of the sites and the amount of traffic you receive. Personally on one hosting a/c ive 60+ sites, about 4 pages each.

Considering there are probably millions of sites on shared hosting (meaning there could be hundreds if not thousands sharing a single ip or set of ips) I doubt there really is a limit to worry about. Though I try to limit no more than 4 sites per ip, and naturally change the DNS settings to reflect different "servers" (though really only on a couple of dedicated ones).

Depends on the web host. Most of the "unlimited" space/bandwidth hosts aren't going to be very reliable. I'd go with a small time host, such as a local company. I use a cloudserver on asmallorange (very good company).

You could load dozens of wordpress sites on an unlimited host and it would probably be fine but your resources as shared. As your sites grow, and as other people on the same server grow, the company has to constantly manage the server and move people around. They pretty much keep their servers on max resource allocation, which is bad for your sites.

As for adsense, you should definitely try to diversify your IP's. Having a network sharing IP's is always bad for SEO, and probably even worse for adsense :p

I would always try to spread your risk depending on what you make. And always ALWAYS register your domains somewhere else.

If he doesn't get back to you - I'll tell you that "Bluehost" have never hassled me.

I had over 100 microsites on one account (5-6 page sites) in 2009.

Google destroyed them - but Bluehost just kept saying I still had infinite bandwidth, email addys, MYSQL databases and all the rest left

I have 2 or 3 hosting accounts spread across a couple of companies - just for security - but never had a problem.

(NB Bluehost HATE pron and other stuff like that though)

There is no reason to worry, in terms of Adsense problems. You mentioned that your sites are legit, with quality content. If this is really the case, you will have NO problems at all, doesn't matter how many of them share the same IP.

It's just the excuse for people with shitty sites, that they say: "Oh, Adsense banned me because I had all my sites on the same IP." It's pure myth, so do not be worried!

You do if you link them together, if they are all in the same niche and being ranked for the same keywords.

With the cost of hosting is so low why take the risk?
