I don't see the point of pinging to so many servers when the crawler will come eventually and one server usually is enough. Any insights?
    I use BMD

I don't see how this relates to my question but thanks for posting :] Can anyone else tell me how many servers should I ping too so I don't look "spammy" to Google?

Why do you assume that G. will read your link?

    G. will start to crawl a page, but it's very rare that the spider crawl the entire page. Sometimes will the spider bounce (if your site is to heavy and slow to load) and other times will it just follow a random link on the site and not crawl more of the original site.

Pinging your site with different tools, just tells the search engines that there has been an update. But don't overdo it. 2-3 times a week is more than enough.
