Hosting different blogs in one IP can leave a foot print and non-indexing might lead to loss in traffic.
 
It is best to maintain a 1:1 ratio of domain names to IP addresses.
 
The answer is too obvious and has been written here many times already - 1:1.
But there are many other footprints - different hosters and data centers, different registrars, different owners, different dates of registration and appearance of sites on the network...
