How many of you purchased FirstName+LastName.com domain?

I had lastname.com to have [email protected] email. Never really used it tho, people always were confused, like "is this really your email" or "how is this possible" so it just got annoying to have these kinds of interactions every time I had to tell my email to someone so I stopped using it.

I did so for email purposes. Each of my family members got their email. They use it regularly but I find myself using other emails more frequently.

yep, I can confirm. I bought myfullname.com around 2010 and gave the email address to a few of my close friends and they started laughing and saying "nice try" ... I looked at them perplexed and said "no, really, I just bought domain with my own name in it and now this is my real, personal email" and one of the guys went "dude, only google can have domain name, nice try" and the other one was like "guys, John is in trolling mode, beware!"
I gave up on trying to explain to them how domain names work and 2 years later I let the domain expire... although, I should probably get it back if it's not on sale for $499 or other astronomic price..

yes, exactly this. and those times when you call some gov agencies (or any service over the phone actually) and you tell them your email and you can HEAR over the phone how the lady on the other side is in doubt that you are trolling her.yep, I can confirm. Mine wasn't available ever since I came to know about domains in 2005.SAV still selling it for $300.
No one ever buys but they keep it on sale.
I remember it's asking price was over $5k once lolzzz

Though, i purchased shortened name + nickname
So if my name is Johnasdb, and my nickname is bond, then my domain is johnbond.com
Because my full name and last name combined are almost 20 characters, and its just too long to ever do anything woth the domain name, i feel
