Ok so my website has been hit by a site wide penalty for 1 month . It's not a manual penalty but a penalty which was given to me because of using socialmonkee.com network or mass pinging of my website. Ok so a simple question is how many of you managed to get out of a automatic penalty, How much time did it take and what did you do to get out of it

How did you decide it was a penalty? New sites usually disappear for a while & re-appear back. If that's the case it might not be a penalty & you just continue building links to see them back.

In my case, I managed to get out using SenukeX the index template and some Actual Pr links from PR2-4 with low OBL.

Is/Was it a new site? If so are you sure it's a penalty and not just a dance?

I ask because I had similar issues time and time over again and I just create more/better links.

Get yourself some homepage links going and see if it helps.

P.S. BUY YOUR OWN HIGH PR DOMAINS FOR THIS..

It's not a dance because this has probably stayed for this for a whole month now . PingExpert.com was the website i used for mass pinging and even submitted my bookmark links for 90 days

If you think pinging got your site penalized then I have to say I think you are confused unless you were pining your site like every 30 seconds for a week straight or something.

A month is nothing, sites can stay missing for 3 months and then come back .

Is the site in the index still then your fine.

Might want to consider some other factors that may have caused this as well as pinging just doesn't seem very plausible.

No hard and fast rules, but as Gary said above, your reasononing on 'why' doesn't sound particularly feasible...

I've recovered around 200 domains from complete deindexing by a gradual rebuild of the site and removing too many OBL's, plus constant quality content-based link building. They took over a year - but I couldn't ask for a reconsideration as I didn't want G to know I had 200 sites in this situation!

Give it time.. I know you want a quick solution... but hey... Build quality content-based links deep into your site and with a wide variety of anchors to help spread the footprint and de-optimse any over-zealous linking you may have done.

If it's a new site, then it'll come back soon after you build some strong links. However, I would suggest you to build links slowly at the beginning and start with blasts after the site is stable.

If it's really a penalty, then you can still get it back with high contextual links from some authority sites, quality and unique patterned blasts using some good software link scrapbox, SenukeX, etc as suggested by some fellow BHW members. I usually follow these procedures, since I'm 70% into reputation management and bringing back those sites depend completely on how bad they are slapped by SEs.

Ok so i would say pinging my backlinks wasn't the reason . The only blackhat thing i did was to use socialmonkee.com . Some of the websites in their network were sandboxed as check by site:domainfromsocialmonkee.com

And yes i have been indexed from the beginning. I think another reason could be thin content because my pages have max 300 words as it is a cpa targetting alot of niches

I am in no hurry to get a quick solution, I just want to know if it's feasible to work with this website, I have no problem in making more websites but it will be difficult for me to manage many websites as i already have 9 websites which is enough for 15 years old school student :). I don't have any obl as i have widgets of cpa . Now the question is what kind of content based link building now will work.

    Web 2.0 with spun content
    Web 2.0 with unique content
    High PR blogposts

I submitted a reconsideration request to google but got a message saying no manual spam action was taken on my website because i didn't triggered anything but the only thing which was ranking my pages was 100 social bookmarks from social monkee and high pr comments .

I just got a domain of mine out of a -50, it took me about a month to do. I think the reason of my slap was over optimization of backlinks anchor text and on site anchor texts.

I deoptimzed the internal anchor text. Then I built lots of domain name branded anchor text.

As anything with Google its such a guess as to what caused it, but this did get me all my rankings back.

Ok so you built domain name branded anchor text backlinks or internal linking with only anchor text of domain name ? If it is backlinks what kind of backlinks was it ?

Like I said I am not sure 100% what did the trick. With Open Site Exploerer, I had noticed that our 3 top keywords were 80% off all our back links. On site I would say it was closer to 95% of our internal links.

On site I removed about 65% off the internal links, and the rest I changed to relevant but long tails keywords.

Then like I said I used Senuke to nuke our domain name all over the web in the anchor text.

I would say I built about 10k links with our domain name (and over course many variations of our domain name, get your widget at domain name, etc etc,)

Dude, there's absolutely no reason to keep bumping this thread.

No One can say exactly what is going on with your site without knowing EVERYTHING that you have done with it since building it.

Build higher quality links, Optimize your site's on page SEO, get some social signals going , rinse and repeat.

And stop worrying about one site so much...

You have no idea if you were penalized let alone why you were penalized
Dont assume to be associating a link building program with a slip in rankings because one followed the other
This may or may not be the case.
If your site is under a year old this happens all the time.

    KEEP BUILDING LINKS

But use many different sorts - as many as you can think of!
You almost definitely WILL come back. You do not get a permanent de-indexing for off site factors as SEO would just be a matter of spamming links on your competitors from extreme porn sites or similar

^ I am sure i was penalized because my "domain name" on google appeared on the first result before the drop. After the drop my domain name wasn't in top 500 . Plus i searched my content and title tags of my inner pages which wasn't appearing in first 10 results so i am sure it is a side wide penalty
