It is good to read success stories but we should hear the other side also. Are there members here who have given up on online money making? For how much time you tried before this ?

Most people quit. It's business, it's hard, it's competitive. It's exhausting when you don't see results. You have to love doing what you do without thinking money money money all the time or you will fail.

After a few years of making good money, I was exhausted and decided to get real job and finally felt relaxed after a long time of "hustling" and "grinding".

Now in hindsight, It's not that easy to make money online, but if you can manage to make it feel like a day job (9-5, after that you stop working on these things), then it becomes better than a real job as you're your own boss and there's no monetary ceiling. The more you work the more $ you make.

Well, it depends. You can work in marketing also in a company that you like. I would see that the main advantages you can have working in a company is if you love the brand and the product is something you can relate on because it's in conformity to your values.

For example I did work 9-5 for a nonprofit realising the dreams of sick children, I did marketing and communication there. It was very fulfilling and I would say better than grinding to try to "make money" with shitty products or service which make you wonder why you even wake up every day despite having to pay your bills.

I started my journey towards online money making in the year of 2016, with a wish to become rich within a couple of years. I failed miserably in that attempt. In 2018 I was bankrupt and full of debt. It took me more than 2 years doing all kind of works to get back on my feet. I have managed to reach the "OK" mark from nothing. I enjoy reading success stories and Iam always looking for ways to earn online because I do not want to work for anyone and be under anyone's control for the rest of my life.

I have learned a few things through this process:

1) There is no shortcut to success. If it takes hard work, you will have to put in hard work. There are no exceptions to this rule.

2) The more time you spend sitting on your ass doing nothing at all, the less likely you will make any money.

My first affiliate site made pretty decent money in the international dating niche a few years ago.

That site crashed and burned right around the time COVID hit (March 2020).

I haven't had much success with my other projects.

It's hard when your first project is a total success. A profitable, low competition niche made me think all affiliate sites were that easy.

Once I made at least 2 million bucks in profit, Im going to "quit".

I cant stand working by just sitting my ass in front of laptop/pc anymore.

I used to think working online will make me feel at peace and contented but its draining my soul in a strange manner.

Im planning to get into agriculture or herding goats, sheep, chicken.

Our body is designed to be in contact with nature. Not just sit in front of a stupid ass computer screen like zombies.

SO true...I'm not even making any real money...still trying. Even being in debt...and already thinking this is not what I am supposed to do....I have a great call for nature..growing vegetables and animals.. Wonder if I ever get there.

The more you work, the better you get.

I don't see a future, where I wouldn't be able to make money online with the skills I have developed thus far.

I have many different projects in the works. Each of them is different, and I'm sure all of them will make some money.

Though I haven't made any money yet, I am not sure I will give up. I started off with Digital marketing and make money online niche blog, the competition is killing me. But I will still be working on it while using all the experience I gathered to start other niches.

I am surviving by falling back to my sports betting prediction. It has funded all my digital marketing journey. But I am not proud of it, that's why I started digital marketing

I've been forced to quit all the times I ended up in the looney ranch, and had to start afresh! Each time you start a new, you start off better than you did before. Don't go to the extremes like me! lol

Fellow Vikings, there are very few in the IM business that hits a home run with their first project/projects. The IM business is like any other business when it comes to the single most important factor if you gonna make it or not, you need to have the will to make it and that will of yours needs to be able to overcome anything. You try and you maybe fail over and over again until you hit that home run and make it. Most people in the IM business do not have the patience and quit to early because they are looking for quick and "easy" money, and for all these people I got some news:
There is NO shortcuts or "easy" money, keep on working hard and testing your way forward and you will be succesful in the long run. So set up a plan and set up your goals, and then do not wish for it to come true, work for it damn it.
