Curious to know that how many of you have full time employees working for you. It is obvious in internet marketing to outsource the work online. But if you have hired people full time, it certainly shows that you have a load of regular work. Also what problems did you faced while hiring or managing them ?

I had a team of 6 made consistent large profits year on year

When I ramped it to nearly 20 I lost all the profit and was left with 20 headaches!

Sounds good, you are moving forward. Which country are you based in and how do you promote your SEO service-online or offline ?

I think this is a true measure of success. Once you have employes you have a business. Before that you are just a lone wolf. I hope to start adding people to the pay roll in a couple of months. But yea, who knows, that may just be more head aches to come :)

Excuse me business is about how much money you make! Who cares how many folks you employ!

Of course the exemption is a non profit organization where you provide work for the needy

Child labor :). It is a good idea, give them a chocolate or two for an hours work and they will treat you as god.

I agree to this to some extent. To some extent it shows that you have a sustainable business model. Working alone reduces your headaches but you have own limits.

Dead easy to manage, just have a team leader and give the orders to him/her and let her delegate the work accordingly.

I think it is more understanding what is the rate that you are taking on work, and will the work continually flow. This will determine if you should hire permanent or keep hiring temporary hires off odesk, fiverr ect ... and what country you operate in, how easy will it be to fire in a moment of downturn

Agreed fully. Just making the point that no matter how much/how well you are doing, in my mind anyway, true success is when you don't even have to work, others are doing it for you :)

Don't get me wrong, I actually love to work. Gives me a feeling of satisfaction in a perverse way, but I'll know I'm truly successful when I can take 3 months off to do whatever, and the business infrastructure I've set up runs on its own, generating a living for me and my employes.

That's my dream anyway....... now back to work ;)
