More times than I care to think about.
I think I bought every POS e-book out there before I wised up.
OH, well. A good education costs, whether it be college, or "The School of Hard Knocks".
Once, when I attempted to buy a $1200 Video Camera. I paid via Postal Service Money Order. Few days after he cashed it, he disappeared. email stopped working, the cell number was disconnected. ebay account banned.
But I tracked down the bank where the account was held with the post offices help. then I did some social engineering and found there was another account linked to the closed one. With that I found out the guys real last name, did a search and linked up the name to an address, and the address to a land line number.
I called him up and gave him 4 options. 1. I read off the phone number to his local police station and told him I could call them and talk about a mail fraud case. 2. I could drive down there and have a 'chat' with him in person. 3. I could drive down there and burn his fucking house down, maybe with him in it. or 4. He can quietly send me a refund and we'll forget it ever happened.
I reminded him that all the options ended up with him losing at least $1200 fucking dollars, be it in legal fees, doctor bills, property loss, or willingly.
His stuttering response was: Ho-ho-how did you find me.
2 Days later I had the money transferred into my paypal account. The minute I had the money I emailed all this D-bags other victims and handed them all his info on a platter.
been scammed everywhere, websites, that I paid $700 for, um domains, banners (false showing), trademe, all the ebooks that I invested into
Somewhat odd that a guy with the handle "scammer" is asking about people being scammed.
When I was a newbie I invested 600$ in a PTC site after few days site vanished.
Isn't there the shitlist for this ? Anyway graigspimp.com scammed me nicely of thousand of dollars
Yeah he didn't waste no time seeing it was his first post...LOL
lol your username is interesting and has some irony to this thread LOL!
nah i haven't been, i'm pretty smart about this kind of stuff and don't let my emotions take over and am pretty logical person
I got scammed twice off line loseing several thousand $. I was very young and naive and learned some hard lessons. It hasn't happened again.
maybe OP want to learn from the victims and improve on his scams? I jest.
That's just amazing, ever thinking of being online PI?
Despite of the OP's single post on scamming with an ironic username which probably just looking for new schemes,
I once got scammed buying directory submissions software from submiteaze - damn that submitter with no way to update list and really fuc'n slow.
I got taken...from a job listing on cragslist, for a loan mod. company, they took over three grand worth of commission, that I earned. I'm currently in a lawsuit trying to get these jerks to pay. I'm so broke its not even funny, and in so much debt. I wish I wasn't such a trusting person.
Well i love this name
someone tried to scam me today but thankfully i found him
With the risk of being called a total loser, I'll tell you that I have been scammed A LOT...
I will tell you the worst though, the worst in terns of silliness is that I followed the "recommendations" of a psychic... I lost about $400 by following his recommendations... I learned a lot from this, this experience made me very sceptic towards predictions towards the future (from a psychic)...
In terms of money lost, I once lost around US$20000 to my own uncle... He promised that he will use the money to further expand his business, to get through his business debt.... And what did I get? I got nothing but an embarassment... Turns out that he had a HUGE gambling problem, I wished I knew it earlier though... Until today, I tried to get that money back... Even one time, I HAD to hire several mafia members to hunt him so he could face me...
In conclusion, I have been scammed a pretty lot in my lifetime AND I am only 27...
Years ago when i was started out on eb4y I bought some jerseys from this guy in canada. I sent him like $700 bux... he kept giving me all these excuses why my shipment was delayed. of course not long later he totally disappeared. I should have known from his poor english... he wrote like an illiterate kid.
Oh and 3 yrs ago i bought a roulette system off some dude for $400. I think of him as a standup guy, even to this day. He claimed his system works in both brick and mortar.. and online casinos. I tried it... no it doesn't work in online. But defintiely works in real life. so i guess it can't be called scamming?
He still sends me updates to his systems from time to time.
Yeah, it's happened to me sometimes. Heck, I was even phished once, when phishing was new and I was answering my email drunk. Beer and computers don't mix.
Yes, I have a few different times but the biggest time was for over $200,000. About 3 years ago, I thought of the idea to broker high end electronics like Ipods and Xbox 360s in bulk. I was 20 years old, broke and made a website for my items using a free website maker that was a sub domain and had their advertising all over it and was pretty bad. I obviously did not know what I was doing lol. Anyways, I did research for suppliers and then did research for buyers and found a forum. I somehow got visitors to my website and I was making orders out the ass. I was so busy. I would work 7-11 everyday - all day on the phone, on the messenger, answering emails after emails. I didn't have enough time in the day. I would wake up daily at 7 a.m so I could be at the bank first thing in the morning to deposit checks, money orders that were $20,000, $5,000 and such in value. I then would make a wire transfer to my supplier in amounts of $70,000 and so on because I would group the orders to get larger discounts on the amount I ordered. The suppliers I chose were thoroughly checked out. All of them were listed with the better business bureu and the physical addresses were checked and verified. They were in all rights legit. But they never delievered...... why ? because they were also being a broker and brokering them for someone else. I eventually had to file bankruptcy and ended going for $243,000 - working out of my parents house lol, at the age of 20 and in 2 months. So yeah, I would say I have been scammed
wow you know how many scammers are members of this site? It's unreal. Really when you think about 100% of the members are scammers including myself because we use blackhat methods to make $$$.
It's hilarious that a guy going by the screenname of scammer is asking about scamming.
Gotta be trying to get some ideas.
