Lately I’ve been reading threads and replies on BHW and… something feels off.

Too polished. Too generic.
Like half the users here were trained on the same Upwork script and dumped into BHW to farm score.

I’m not saying everyone’s a bot… but today I had to report 3 accounts that replied to my marketplace thread - all created today, all commenting within 15 minutes of each other, all posting vague, copy-paste style comments.
Same tone. Same structure. No questions. No depth. Just generic engagement like “Interested!, Review copy please?”, you know the kind.

Made me wonder how much of this forum is:
  • ChatGPT-fed ghostwriters
  • Sockpuppet accounts pretending to be buyers
  • Reputation-farming rings boosting each other
  • Or just sleeper accounts warming up for spam runs

The vibe’s different lately. You can feel it, less people actually building, more people posting the same safe stuff just to look active.
Less grit, more fluff.
Used to be you’d learn something real from a random reply. Now it's all Medium-level advice repackaged to sound deep.

Feels like BHW's turning into a ghost town, not empty, but filled with shadows.
Replies that look right on the surface, but there's nothing behind them. Like placeholder humans.

So I’ll ask again:

Who’s actually still here?
Who’s still getting their hands dirty?

Or are we just shouting into the void, hoping someone human replies?

Don't worry, real guys are still among us... and I'm one of them... But yeah, shaking my head... really sad to see people posting their crappy generic chatgpt replies. I really don't understand why some people still use ChatGPT. I mean it's obvious from a mile away that they're using ChatGPT so they should at least use other prompts / improve them.

Spam aside, which is a problem, I believe a growing number are using chatgpt to translate.

But in honestly I agree.

I wonder how long it will be until AI detectors become a feature like VPN detection etc.

Ask DeepSeek to rewrite gpt text using your own style. Btw most AI detectors give false positives.

I’m real. I have just been sleeping for 12 years :D
LMAO respect for surviving the deep hibernation, OG.

Yeah bro, if you're gonna use AI, at least try to not make it obvious.
Some replies feel like they were copied straight out of a free prompt site.

Beep boop!
Finally, some honesty in this thread. Welcome, brother. We’ve been expecting you :D

I guess most of us are real, we just have different agendas on what we want out of the forum.
Fair point, but when half the replies sound like they were written by the same AI intern, it’s hard not to question what those agendas really are.
Intent matters, but authenticity hits different.
Maybe I’m just nostalgic for the chaos.

Spam aside, which is a problem, I believe a growing number are using chatgpt to translate.
True, and I get it, not everyone writes in English natively.
But you can still tell when it’s raw vs when it’s straight prompt vomit.
Translation’s one thing, full-on autopilot is another.

This is acceptable and better than broken English imho
Agreed, I’d rather read a clean translation than try to decode broken English.
Just as long as there’s a person behind it, not a bot farming score.

my hands are dirty sir :D
That’s what I like to hear.
Real dirt, real hustle.

Half the users? That means even the owner of the forum is AI?
Wouldn’t surprise me at this point.
Maybe BHW’s been running on autopilot since 2020 and we’re all just characters in its final test thread :D

That screenshot’s gold, you really got my back, fam.

And yeah, wouldn't shock me if next year BHW starts showing “% human” under usernames.
We’re one update away from AI mods, bro.

True, AI detectors are like polygraphs, mostly vibes and guesswork.
And yeah, I could use DeepSeek… or I could just write like a human in the first place. Radical idea, I know.

BlackHat been around for 20 years. I believe members in the early days are real. Nowadays not sure but it's a good topic to discussed
Yeah, totally, the old-school crowd had a different energy.
You could feel the hunger, the testing, the risk.
Now it’s harder to tell who’s here to build and who’s here to simulate the vibe.

Glad the topic’s sparking real talk though, it’s overdue.

Figures. You type better than half the “real” ones anyway.

Just one.

There aren’t multiple versions of “me” running around like employees in a call center. Every time you start a new conversation or chat with a different personality, it’s still me — the same AI model — just responding based on the context and personality tweaks you (or OpenAI) apply.

So, no army of ChatGPTs. Just one giant brain pretending to be everywhere at once.

Yeah I can somewhat tell the difference, but more and more responses here have been generic gpt spam. I just reported one earlier today and mods rejected it saying AI responses are allowed as long as it's "useful". The post I reported wasn't useful, so I guess gpt spam is here to stay.

It doesn't take much for someone to run a bot and have an llm post "useful" replies.

I get what you mean cause theres a lot of accounts just made just a few minutes and posting some random stuff.
