How many of you are actually creating a separate GSC per site?

I see some people being really paranoid and creating 1 GSC per site as they are under the assumption that when Google comes knocking, the rest of their sites will be safe.

Be honest, how many of you are actually doing this??

Due to the recent events I am starting to think I might do this myself to be sure but sounds kinda of overkill at the same time.

Thoughts?

I have sites in different GSC. But everything got affected.

It's actually hard to argue against those who feel once a site is flagged, all others follow.

For websites I want to keep long term I create a separate GSC and account for. No proof if one website is penalized they will investigate others but why take risk in such cases. I have some grouped from the past when I didn't think about it without issue but it's not that hard for extra security.

I think its a good idea to spread the sites on multiple accounts if you can.

Specially with all the spam stuff thats been going on, i can see google being more strict about this from now on.

1 site 1 gsc for years. How can people make this mistake in 2024 . Very naïve to think that they don’t look at your other sites. This is big brother Google

I am having 3 exactly web-sites in one GSC account. It's OK so far

By the same logic, you'd need a new device and IP per GSC and not just a new GSC per site.

They can see the device, IPs, and all Gmails attached to it.

I don't think that if one site in the GSC gets affected, google will harm others too if they all are using the GSC on the same Google account.

As per my experience, google only harms the sites that are not following the google guidelines no matter whether their GSC is on the same google account or not, I have seen many sites getting effected by Google core updates even if their GSC are on different google accounts

Yes that’s right. In the past I did use vpn and incognito but now I am using private browser and mobile proxy with cookies stored.

Maybe it’s to much but you can’t turn back if they change their methods.

You noobs still using GSC? :D I'm always amazed you guys go through the hassle, for what you learn compared to just having ahrefs free webmaster dashboard on one site. I'd rather ahrefs knows my sites than google! lol

GSC can fetch sitemap and URLs with helps a lot with indexing... it also tracks keywords much better, shows acurate impressions and clicks and has other features too.

I also use ahrefs but i just think that GSC is better overall. At least in my experience.

Yes, seperate GSC accounts and each account accessed with different IP and private browser tab.

There's nothing to be peronoid about it. It's seems logical after March update. I see horror stories on youtube of people complaining about sudden traffic drop on every site in gsc. I personally have few gsc accounts with multiple sites.
My starergy is:
Create 1 site 1 gsc. Once site grows I move it to main gsc account and apply for adsense Else don't move it.
Now I don't know if I can have gsc on different account than adsense. I have to check that next time I apply for adsense.
I see no other reason not to have 1 site 1 gsc.

I have been doing that for years

Its a good practice though, but very hard to maintain, boring.

I use GSC for my main web-site. For all other (supporting) web-sites GSC is useless, I guess.
But if any site suddenly grows, I will definitely add it to another GSC account.
