How many montly searches adviced for YT video keywords ?

Hi,

I'm manually picking out related videos to my channel via Creative Commons licensed videos. (maybe someone can advise me a better/faster strategy ?) Next I'm trying to optimize them for maximum exposure.

When using the Youtube keyword tool and the Adwords keyword tool how many montly searches is adviced with LOW competition keywords ? I now use those who are around 10 000 montly searches but don't know if it's a good strategy.

I dont think so, the search volumes for YT is as much as meaningful like they were in micro niche sites..YT is much more dynamic system and , views are coming via the combination of many other factors, amount of search volume /that number ; I would give 20 -40 % weight among other things.. This is just my feeling.

What I do is choose the popular keywords first, and work my way to the less popular ones as I run out

but then you have highly competitive keywords or am I wrong ?

Yes that is true. But I wouldn't use a ridiculously high competition niche like 'work from home' or any of that. Just try and beat the rest.
