Assume you are making $1000 pm from your single money site, so what your keyword density & how much search volume keyword you choose to earn that per month & do you prefer very low competition keywords say 100 to 300 searches per month?

I prefer low competition plus low search volume or high search volume plus high CPC value keywords for my blog. Before all this, I choose low competition niche which is better for the current scenario.

There is no fixed rule, use low and medium competition keywords and see where you can manage to rank before optimizing further for better ranking keywords first.

Some of my most successful landing pages target keywords that show up as having 0 search volume in Keyword Planner. Traffic volume only matters relative to conversion rate and the average sale amount.

5 clicks a month with a 5% conversion rate is certainly worth it if the profit per sale on that keyword is $1,000+.

health niche is saturated:( even for 100 search volume keyword, top authority sites have been sitting @ #1.can not even touch them. With very low competition keywords say 200 search volume at present am at #8. Done all work social signals, web 2.0 & PBN but not able to be @ #1:(

Well that is a bad niche selection then. I always say that kw research is the most important part of any SEO campaign. If you screw this part, then your SEO campaign is done before you even started. Focus on really low end kws and churn tons of content. With enough age it will rank anyhow. Not #1 maybe, but you do not need to be #1 to make nice money.

If you want to rank ANY site, then yes, you should focus on content and onpage SEO. Offsite SEO is just a cherry on the top.

It also depends on the value per click of the keyword.
More like a value per click times the Keyword searches, is what you should look for.
Lower the keyword search count the easier to rank with a dead on domain.

To follow up on @Nargil's notes -- you have to do these three steps in order. If any of these steps are done incorrectly (or not at all), the steps lower on the chain are pointless:
    1. Keyword research
    2. Onpage optimization
    3. Offpage optimization
    Because:
    • Without good keyword research and keyword selection, having perfect onpage SEO is completely pointless (as is link building).
    • If you have a good keyword, without good onpage optimization, offpage SEO and link building is completely pointless.
    • Offpage optimization boosts rankings, but is a waste of time if the keyword is obscenely difficult or the page is completely unrelated in terms of onpage SEO.
Very frequently, people new to SEO focus on it in the exact opposite order, starting with link building before they have a handle on setting up a site to target a keyword effectively. And even more frequently, you see people pursuing keywords before they've looked into (or even heard of the concepts of) search volume, keyword difficulty, conversion rate, and other KW research information.

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
