    How many is too many?

I've seen some pages with 100s of links on them. At what point does it get labeled as a linkfarm? At what point is the link juice too diluted to really help?

Unless its a long discussion about a particular topic and linking out to the same type of niche for example cars it should be fine. But once there are links that are linking to the most random websites like Viagra pills and other niches then an OBL of more than 50 will probably put the flag up for Google. SEO has evolved so much now, almost all your content and backlinks must be surrounded by your relevant niche, anything else is potentially dangerous to your site

From my own experience, if you are selling links then the less the links, the more link juice they will carry.

Imagine that 100 link juice is max. you can get. Obviously, 1 link would carry over all 100, 2 links - 50 link juice, 10 links - 10 link juice, etc ... so 100 links would carry 1 link juice point which is kinda ... 0 lol.

It also depends on links structure. If they are blog roll type links, 15 links might look spammy. But then again, it's just my opinion.

I ask because I got a link from an .edu page (a real .edu page, not a forum profile on an .edu forum like the scammy SEO guys like to sell as ".edu links"), but there are 100s of other links on this page.

It's from a professor of the topic of my niche. For example, if I had a website about engineering and an engineering professor linked from his .edu page to my site.

I assume it's still a good link cuz it's form an .edu page.

I think the link is worthless. Just my opinion though.

Mass comment links on the page are bad for your link.

There are so many .edu pages and .edu blogs.
It is worthless but that is just my opinion.
I can even create an experiment right now which is create TWO blogger or wordpress blog that has 1 page. Try to rank it using .gov links only. THe other one with .edu links only. Everything comes from scrapebox. I know exactly what is going to happen which is nothing. Both sites will be banned.
