i just senuked a domain a bought a few days ago. i got about 300 backlinks from forum profiles. is that too much?
How many is too many backlinks?

ok cool. any suggestions on how to mix it up a bit? I dont want to get my new domain deindexed. its actually a pretty decent domain im trying to sell.

you want your links from a spread of the internet to make it look as real as possible

"The more The Better"......... LOL you will screw domain... Domain is new and it need time and you are blasting it from start... It's not fix rule that domain will come back from sandbox after certain period... I got few domains which went into sandbox after 2-3 months and they had more then 10k backlinks... Before going they were ranking for their keyword and were getting huge traffic... It's more then 1 year but they still are inside sandbox...
Go slow... Consistency and natural growth will be better.... Try some quality and permanent back linking...

Here is my advice for you:
1 - Mix the links, don't build a 500 backlinks for the main page, make some backlinks for inner pages too, and use a related keyword for each page.
2 - If you are going to make too much backlinks in one day, then don't ping all those links once, since you are telling Google that you did it and its not natural.
3 - Quality not quantity, it's better to pick up the forums that are related to your niche, the backlink will be much better.

You said "domain I bought a few days ago." If it's a new domain there will a need to pay attention not to push 100's of backlinks a day to it and make sure that you are creating links from different sources (and types) as Bilbo said.
Any new domain (website) can be famous overnight, which will bring TONS of backlinks. But they are so diversified and so many IP address that you can't "pin point" manipulation (footprints).
Just be aware of footprints and mix it up as much as possible.
