    Hello

after lots of studying, I think have got a good idea of what I need to do to create my own private blog network. Now I am just trying to get an idea of how many domains I will need so I can calculate the expenses.

I am trying to rank a competitive keyword, it's related to law and lawyers, the top sites are PR4 and PR5

Let's say I buy domains of PR4 for my network. how many of them do I need? 20? 40? 100? 200?

and will the network alone rank me? or will I still need some blog comments and some gsa ser and some of the other stuff?

Before you start thinking of how many domain names you need I hope you know you need to host those domains
on several registrars to scramble Google.

The amount of domains you need completely depends on the authority and trust rating of each of these domains (domains that have high authority but were built on spam won't do you any good). Naturally, the higher the authority, the fewer domains it will take; though it will still take quite a few good domains to rank for competitive keywords. Sorry I can't give you an exact number, but it's all about experimenting, start with 10, then add more to see where you stand. Also I would recommend not using links purely from your private network, variety is the spice of life, so get some high-quality links from other places as well.

Be sure to use different registrars for registering, with at least private registration, and hosting from different parts of the world. Only host one site per IP, duplicate links from the same IP to the same site rapidly diminish the power of the links.

There are too many variables to calculate the exact number of domains you need.

Depending on your network authority you may rank just with BN links, but you'll be leaving yourself exposed against competitors and google manual reviews(maybe some algo filters too). The best thing is to diversify your link profile as much as possible without relaying on just 1 platform.

Another thing you need to keep in mind,is that you'll need to build links constantly to your network in order to maintain/increase the link juice flow and authority.

You can always start with 10-20 satellites and see where they send you :)
