First time I'm hearing about a copyright strike on IG o_O
If someone reports your video it will just be deleted and you're risking your acc as well.

depends and i actually have no idea what the limit is.

if you get an auto copyright strike in a video when you ry to upload it and Ig ask if you want to delete you should be fine.
but if people report you then its not good.

I've never heard of this before. Is this a new feature? And does it apply to photos w/ copyrights too?

The auto-copyright detection algorithm on IG currently only supports audio tracks that it can auto-match with its database music. If you upload something that matches on the music, it will get auto-taken down in a few seconds and you will get an email and notification. I don't believe this harms your account in any way. In some cases, it is an faulty match, which happens to me sometimes (I use lots of royalty free music in my clips... sometimes one of them matches against a similar recording, especially for famous works by classical composers... the song itself public domain, but the performance of the piece is so similar to a different copyrighted performance that it matches with the auto-detection. When that happens, I just click the appeal button and it goes right back up... no harm, no foul.

Now, if you are talking about somebody filing a copyright complain against on of your posts, thats a different issue. I don't know the exact number, but my guess is that its 3-5. People get pissed at me when I file copyright complains against them, so it definitely hurts.
