If I pay to post a guest post on a PR3 blog of my niche, How many backlinks should I put in the article pointing to my website?

2 links, just one link or the SEO result will be the same in both cases?

There is not a straight forward answer. Obviously you can put more than one, but the max limit depends on the text length and how useful your links. For example, in my blog, when I write an article, I'm not considering outbound links strategies (how many, under which anchor, placements etc.) - I simply link to resources that I think my users will benefit from - regardless of the quantity.

My rule of thumb is, if there is a link, it should be pressed by the user; otherwise, it's not useful. So, my advice to you, if you use real quality content, try to create links that convert. By conversion I mean, links that will likely generate clicks.

Generally, 2 are fine but if you have much larger post you could post 3 as well. Too many links will show it as spammy post so keep it less is better.
