From my opinion, it should not exceed more than two.

Thanks for your answer, I'm pretty sure it's good regarding google to have like 20 post or more in the author box to the same site, but yes probably after 2 links the link juice stop flowing

How natural would it look to have 20 links in your author box to the same site.. hmmm I don't believe it's good for ranking!

It's natural to be an expert in something in your own site and also a writer for big magazine websites, like for example the "dr axe" he have his site and also write many articles for other sites like 15-20, he are ranked #1 for very competitive keywords, but he do that for brand himself probably not for SEO.

I will stay with 2 articles max by sites for now, thanks!

Nobody will be able to give you the exact answer (including Google, I suspect).

Overall, all links that Google sees are considered. But, some will count more than others and some will be discounted, completely. Anything unnatural (by Google's definition) will be discounted and could actually get you in trouble. Navigation/footer/blogroll links will count very little. Natural content links will count the most.

The number of pages per domain that link to you should have no effect on the "juice per link" strength. In other words, each link on every new page from the same domain will add to the total.

If you have more links on one page, Google will likely count only one.

Conclusion: link liberally whenever it makes sense (naturally)

I'd say one or two if it's just to your homepage. You should link to your interior pages, not just your homepage from Natural News and Natural News does allow you to link to interior pages that are informational as a resource etc. If you are linking to a DIFFERENT page each time then I think 5 or 6 links is ok. I've seen sites with 6 links from Lifehack, 9 or 10 from Tech.co but they had over 1,000 referring domains so it also depends on how large your backlink profile is.

Dr Axe links to his numerous interior pages. Not just his homepage.

I also write for Natural News and saw an author there who isn't a contributor but also a staff writer get some kind of penalty because they had hundreds of links from Natural News and barely anything else. I think it was a soap website. It ranked for nothing. lol

Sometimes I get bored and will pop up someone's site in Ahrefs for the hell of it.

Also, Natural News is "no follow" now. I don't know if their author box is because I don't use author boxes. I craft my article so i can fit it in the body or as a resource.

I would have thought just one ? No expert on this :), but i thought that any extra links from the same domain would not be given the same emphasis as the first link? Maybe I am wrong.

Naturalnews and dr axe was an example, in fact I'm an author on several sites and since I can post another article at any time on these sites I wondered if it can be a good idea, but I probably do better to use my time to find new sites beside posting to them, thanks for your answer

EDIT: I have around 400 reffering domain

For sure but since I just have to publish another article even if I get only 20% on the normal link juice it can be good
