I just started a new website a week ago. How long should I wait for it to age until I build backlinks to it? I know of a service that builds some good links, but am not sure if starting it now is best or what a month or more.

Any time is good time to build backlinks. The sooner you start with the offsite seo campaign, the better. Just make sure you don't send spammy backlinks on a fresh domain unless it's a churn'n'burn site.

    .

Anytime, but build a variety (different types), and slow and steady over a period of weeks rather than thousands overnight.

on a previous site of mine, it was 6 months old before i started getting low organic traffic. i did no backlinking.

this let me know what was my top ranking article in google analytics. i found a service on here that offered a small tier of web 2.0, 10 with backlinks to them.

that one service helped boost my individual page's rank. so i bought the same service for another page and it worked for that one too. in total i bought this package for 4 pages.

i am just worried that if i start those packages with a brand new site's articles, google might flag it as spam because what "real" site would get "real" backlinks that quick. do you know what i mean?

5 minutes. No more. No less.

    Just get links.

I am just bit worried if it was pagerank that boosted in the last year?

If your site is very new, then build backlinks slowly so Google cannot catch you also make sure they are on related links for your site.

Drip out high authority links and increase the velocity as you gain momentum.

What works like awesomesauce for me is replicating a viral site like this:

    - Start with a high quality link on a high authority domain
    - Follow up with press releases based on the same content
    - Then follow up with mass links
