So lets say you have a keyword you want to rank for.

It returns 229,000 results.

How fast do you think you can rank your page to front page.

And what methods would you use!

lol i don't think you could ask a more broad question aside from "how do i make money?"

seriously the methods you use can determine how fast you reach the front page. SEO methods are all over this forum and even all over the rest of the internet right now.
 
I'm asking what YOU would personally do to get to front page, and how long YOU think you would get there. Anyones methods are valid and welcome. I want to hear, in this thread, a consolidated account of many peoples experiences.
 
There's so many variables it's impossible to answer such a question
 
If the competition consists of weak sites then very quickly, perhaps 1 day... if they are all multinational companies with 1,000,000 backlinks and high PR then perhaps never... your answer is somewhere in between those times.

The reason that the question is too broad is that the answer is always, "Depends on what the guys on the front page are doing...".

I'm not an SEO expert, so I can't give you my personal tricks (since they don't exist). I can only tell you that the success and speed of getting to the first page depends as much on how strong your competitors are as it does on what you do.
 
should be able to get ranked in 3-4 weeks. i'd say if you do it right. But usually you'll lose the rankings ina month then come back permantenly 2=3 months later.
 
It also depends on the keyword itself, your landing page, age of your site. However, there are some tricks to ranking pretty quickly, say maybe 2-3 weeks. Some people can even rank within a week but it usually doesn't stay on the first page for very long.

But to be on the safe side, I could do it within 2-3 weeks.
