I have an old ebook i wrote a few years back. I was thinking about re-branding it and re-launching it on clickbank.

Is clickbank and the pdf type ebook a dying industry? I am willing to commit to this project if there is a few years left for it but am looking for some opinions about the long term viability of this marketplace.

Do you guys have any thoughts about the future of clickbank and electronic products such as pdfs etc? I know kindle books are surging now...

    Thanks

eReaders such as the iPad and Kindle are being sold in ever increasing record numbers and Apple is the most valuable company in the world thanks to all of this, so this question is a no brainer!

People will still buy those books as long as there is the internet. Instant access and no delivery or shipping needed.

Thanks to all the bs going on in CPA industry, e-books are actually getting a lot of marketers these days.. They are a lot more steady market than the "quick cash" offers, zips, email submits, etc... only chargebacks - and this is 100% in correlation with the QUALITY of the product you're selling..

--> make your own product, a GOOD one, promote it --> happy customers, happy you.

Imagine this scenario & ask yourself:

You have a cronic insomnia and been desperately looking for get rid of it. Then someday you stumbled upon a site provide solution to insomnia. The salesletter, testimonial and money back guarantee convinced you well. Do you think you will buy it or not?

So, to answer for your question:
As long as you provide them a solution, your customer will always buy from you, no matter what no matter when. And NO, actually they not buying pdfs, they bought a solution for their problem. :)

eBook's are just now starting to become a massively accepted form of media. Every single person that has a smartphone in their pocket or an iPad at home is a potential customer. NOW is the time to get into it.

Thats my thinking on the matter anyway.

Ebooks are getting bigger by the day... so IMO I think that ebook makers need to to step up there game in how they can integrate directly with Kindle and Apple.. maybe like if you buy it from clickbank then you get an email that has a promo code to download from apple store and kindle for free.

I know it makes so much sense that ebooks are the way of the future, as long as people are willing to pay for information...
Finding a sales funnel that can combine the best of delivery options and direct access to that customer is always the name of the game isnt it?

I guess you have to know your market more than anything.. will they actually open up the wallet for a pdf version? what if you provided mobi as well for no extra?

    Thanks guys,...great responses!

    Couldn't have said better myself.

Actually the info market is not only not going to die, but rather one of the eternal business for all the time being.
