I have built a bunch of Web 2.0 parasites.
They are about a 5-6 weeks old. Each week I added new content, so all the parasites have about 8 or so pages. (I built a little faster in the beginning)

I indexed them with backlinksindexer. I made some light runs at them with SEO Store's spam SENuke links. (do follow, no follow, some edu) but not a lot. Maybe 10 backlinks to each page on the parasite (I sent links to all posts, not just to posts with my link).

Now I am paying a GSA SER guy to build me English language only backlinks at a low velocity. (it takes longer to find English only sites)

My parasites look like real sites. they have about me, contact, categories, all the extra boxes with latin written in them are removed, titles, different pics, etc, you get what I am saying.

I am seeing no increase in authority or anything else. They are just sitting there, doing nothing. Is now the time to really begin building links.

I've been gun shy about hammering the backlinks even thought that is what the experts seem to suggest (tOmmy, lightningblitz).

The reason I am gun shy is because I wanted to get a few visitors to the pages before I started and this is a long term site they are linking to, I would rather go a little slower than faster and more dangerous.

Anyway, why are they just sitting there. I would of that adding content regularly would have helped worked to increase authority.

I read another post that said that ranking this way can take up to 3 months now.
I read a different post that said if they don't rank right away they never will.

Anyone have any ideas on why my parasites are deadbeats?

When you want to rank parasites, it is best to treat them as money sites with regards to backlinks. So spamming them isn't a good idea, you should have built better quality links to them.

It differs. It may happen in hours, or weeks. Only Google's robots know.

In your configuration, think as @finterajohn pointed out of your parasite site as a money site. I agree with the strategy to dripfeed backlinks slowly. On some of my sites I create backlinks very slowly and over time. I have seonuke running some campaigns over months and this provides staying power.

My answer would have been different if you were following a slash and burn strategy. With a slash and burn strategy you hit full throttle and spam the heck out of your parasite sites. Don't forget the value of pinging your sites regularly.

It depends on how many quality links you build and how fast they got indexed. Could be 2 weeks before it starts to rank.

I left them alone for several months. I did nothing and came back and found some with PA between 30-40. That is PA. So I build some more links to the parasites and added some content with links to my money site.

It will be a long uphill battle. There is massive competition in my niche.

You know, I did a KW search the other day on Google and it showed my Google + page as number 10 in the SERPs. I don't think I ever built any links to it. I don't know what is going on. And the G+ page was of very light content. Just a quick post saying that I had created a new blog post. How does that make the first page results?

I am going to keep up the SEO but I am going to concentrate my money and time on Native Advertising. I just don't see Google as reliable/stable enough to put in much time for trying to rank for anything but the least competitive KWs.

Parasites or regular sites I experienced both rankings with 30 days if you are building link regularly. Always try to create contextual link with relevant content.
