I set up a site a month ago. Built some quality links, 90% of them are indexed but the site still doesn't show up in SERP. I now think there is a problem besite my seo efforts.

    Any suggestions?

P.S. Please do not tell me "don't stop building links and create unique content". I know that :)

Are you talking about AdWords Keyword Tool competition? Or did you actually do a competition check in another program?

No. The problem is the site is not even the top 500. I got site in the same niche but due to the deindexation I set up a brand new. I am pretty familiar with the niche and that is why I am surprised with the results so far.

The only things i can assume that it is without knowing all the details is:
    1. The competition is higher then you think
    2. you didnt build enough backlinks yet
    3. you built too many backlinks and google sandboxed you

I had a similar problem OP & I still can't work it out.

I had an article which I was trying to rank, blasted various thing's at it and only Yahoo/bing moved. I'm ranked at 3 & 5 in bing & yahoo but NA in google?

    Get some Blogroll links.
I have ranked 2 sites which were only 5 days old and both of them are on first page. :)

Did you check the domain's history? I had once one site that was previously banned by Google and did not show up in SERP's at all. Bought another domain, started off clear again.

Otherwise, I have no idea what it might be. Check archive.org maybe if there was an old site.

Looks likes it is OK ...

My site is on the same host account/IP with the deindexed site - is it possible to be a reason ?

In my experience it helps to get a few high PR / high trust backlinks for the start. I often build sites that look very professional and try to sneak in a link on Wikipedia on a high PR page (high PR .edu links are also good.. but Wikipedia's easier and free). Always less than a week to get a new site into the search engines. If your on- and off-page SEO is fine it does not matter at all if the link gets kicked after a few weeks, at least that's my experience.
