How long should it take to write an article?

Just curious to know about how long it takes other people to write an article using other sources, but using entirely your own words.

Im not talking about fantastic content, but decent to good roughly 350 word articles.

How long should it take?

that really depends. Those 3-4$ articles I write 4 (500 words) in an hour and people always come back and give me new jobs.
When it comes to pillar content it could sometimes take days because I re-read them 8x and find here and there something to improve.

1-2 hours for regular content

and of course will depend on the niche

I can write an article just off the top of my head if it is about something not too specific in about 10-15 minutes. If i want something of quality for example the ones i sell, I take 45min to an hour. That's why I am up so late, God somebody help me.

Depending on how long it is and what you want to use it for, the time will vary.

If it's something longer say like a blog post on a method or something, I can crank one out in about 30 min or so.

For articles to submit to article directories, etc. I can crank out 5 an hour.

It really depends... if you know a lot about your subject should be able to put out 300 words in 10 minutes. If you are rewriting using an article on a new subject it takes me about 20 minutes.

I never make it in less than one hour, sometimes I need 2-3 hours for good content. I just started to carefully spin the articles (takes another 1-2 hours) but this way I get about 5 to ten pretty good articles in 4-5 hours.

@helgeschneider: do you also write german articles? => was assuming this because of your name no offense.

for normal articles in german (400 words) that don't require research i need about 15-20 minutes. for english ones maybe 5-10 minutes more because i need to recheck them for typos or strange grammar. if the article requires more research it takes longer of course. i can also write in japanese but i never checked the time when doing this lol.
