As the title says...Any input would be much appreciated.
Maybe my question was incomplete. Basically I bought a domain from someone like 6 months ago and transferred to my account but he still had it hosted and his site on it. I'm close to finishing my version of the site. But noticed that today it's offline and this is the message.
Maybe account have been moved, deleted, suspended or not activated yet.
The requested resource could not be found but may be available again in the future.
What should I do now to not lose the site's SEO value? (I need about 2 weeks to finish the new site)
You should probably put up what you have and just post a message that the site is under construction. The longer the site is offline the more it will be negatively impacted by Google. Site uptime is a ranking factor. When Google sees websites offline for an extended amount of time they typically de-index it at least temporarily until it returns online. This is done to prevent sending Google users to dead sites.
Thanks for the reply, I put up and index page with just that. It was offline for like 3-4 days. How bad do you think that is?
