How long does it to take Google to deindex offline site?

Long story short, I have one website that was/is fucked up by my dickwad of hosting provider (yeah, never purchase domains from hosting provider, lesson learned), and I've had to start all over again with a new domain and site to rank myself back to the top. However, given that I didn't have the said site on WMT, I have no way to request Google to delete the content, so that I could use it again on my new site (don't want to get hit for duplicates), so any ideas how long does it for Google to deindex site/domain that's offline? And when this happens, can I just repost my content on my new site, or does Google keep "secret" copies of the content forever?

Or are there any massive drawbacks in reposting completely original content that's only posted online once, and is now (most likely permanently) offline?

Google de-index a website quickly within 48 to 72 hrs, if not yet de-index, submit a request in google webmaster tools.
