I forwarded some .infos to bit.lys about 2 hours ago and the .infos are still being forwarded to the old address.. even after I tried changing it twice. Usually if I change the forwarding it is complete within 10-15 minutes. I need to blast some emails, but now have to wait..

Has this happened to anyone else recently?

sometimes takes at least 24 hours for the dns to get around the net, just use a .htaccess file it is much quicker

It does seem to vary. Here's an interesting one on Godaddy, happened last month. I changed the DNS on Godaddy, it updated VERY QUICK, talking 15 minutes or so. I then when ahead and updated the NEW site changed some stuff, then... POOF.. it went back to the old DNS info, and then took 24hrs or so to come back around. That one was strange, had outsourcers in India seeing the new site (the one I'd updated) but for me, I was looking at the old one.

Make a .htaccess file, or if you already have one, edit it and add this line.

    Redirect 301 / http://www.yourdomain.com
