For a new site, if indexed well and deep, how long does it take for Go0gle to give it it's first PR?
lol really I'd say 3 or 4
it depends on backlink quality and quantity , you don't have to go through them one by one you could jump from PR0 to PR3 or 4
G usually updates their PR toolbar every 3-4 months
I've seen a PR5 in 2 months from creation date linked from here.
But done normally, I'd say a month or 2.
As per me , It takes approximately 45 days for google to update your page rank..
Funny, 3 months now and I'm still at 0/10
i've got one of my site up in a week and obtained PR2 already with just few backlinks and pingings.
sometimes, competitions on keywords are one category.
quality contents regularly updated (say twice or thrice a week).
supplementary pages such as About Us, Disclaimer, Contact Us and Sitemap adds a little (just a little) credibility to Google.
and for sure quality backlinks. build more quality backlinks especially on high PR forums and also in .gov and .edu sites.
Do digg submissions count well? Also, what's the difference between a refback and a pingback?
people say about every 111 days, but google's been mixing that number up a bit...personally, it's not as powerful as it used to be and i've never seen major effects from an increase/decrease on my sites
It depends on when Google next Pagerank update is. And also it can jump from PR0 to PR2 or PR3 straight away.
Build more links before google next update and you can get some PR. Else you will need to wait another 3 months or so for the next update if you miss the boat.
I had a site jump from PR0 to PR3 within 2 weeks before. I was busy building links before that and caught it nice just before Google pagerank updates
Some of mine got PR2 in less than two months, with some basic weak promotion
Thanks guys. I think for the first month I was too busy tweaking the site and getting content rather than building backlinks. We'll see how it goes now.
Who gives a rats ass about PR... It means nothing, unless your selling links.
Of course when you get the PR is solely based on the toolbar update, which is always 3 months or so behind. SO, it could take a site a week or 6 months depending on so many factors... My advise... don't even worry about it. It means nothing. A more important measure of how well your site is doing is how often and how deep your site is getting indexed.
Get a GWT account and monitor your crawls.
My site isnt new but its just been blank for years and recently I made a site and got backlinks from high page rank partners. I got a page rank 1 within 5 days. I think it depends on the age of your site and your backlinks.
Make sure the backlinks are above PR 6 and are do follow.
I have a wordpress blog that went to pr1 within about 2 months. I have 21 hand written posts on there and I have rewrote about of those and sent them off to ezine for use of backlinks.
So do i get PR for my site if I have lot of backlinks but not to the main home page? Like deep links to different articles and such?
Actually it depends on the SEO work you did for your site...
Making Good Backlinks will make your site to come in first page of google..
Right, all my pages are re-written to static HTML pages in hirarchy folders and such. So if I have a lot of links going to mysite.com/myarticle.html would it give me overall rank increase to mysite.com ?
Not necessarily. It completely depends on how competitive the niche and the keywords are you are going for. There are niches and keywords where you have no chance at all to get on first Google page with a new site.
Its hard but am saying about Good Backlinks will help to indexed well in Google na?
I can only repeat myself, your success depends on how competitive the niche and the keywords are you want to get ranked for.
Separate names with a comma.
