My ad is verified, only doing a $20 test run. Have it set to auto bid the amount per click.
Its been approved for an hour with zero impressions. Kinda odd. The audience was around 2 million reach est.

Just curious if i'm impatient or if it takes a while to work through the queue.

An hour is a bit soon if you ask me. Give it a day and see what happens. :)

Nah it 100% does not take a day.. Your ad is serving now, it starts serving as soon as it is approved with maybe a 20 minute delay or so if anything.. if you have it set to auto bid then it will most definitely be serving as FB will automatically set you to one of the highest bids per click (be warned you'll be paying a lot more here than you need to be), the problem is that it takes time for your impressions and clicks to show up on the fb side which is where I'm guessing you are monitoring them based on you saying "impressions are zero" - give it around 2 hours and you should start to see your funds go down and your stats in terms of impressions go up. Better still set up your own tracking for clicks to your lander this way you'll get down to the second spot on data rather than depending on fb to play catch up.

Bit of advice - I would adjust your bid to be more specific - as in narrow down your targeting.. I mean fb is the daddy in terms of specific targeting so use this to your advantage, what I tend to do is go for their lowest recommended bid, see how much clicks it yields me after a few hours and then up it if needs be, dependent on your targeting you can really get those clicks down to a lot less, fb auto bidding will rip you off in most cases.

    It's different on every account.

The last time my ads were approved it took about 24 hours before I saw any impressions let alone clicks.

Strange that as I've used quite a few accounts and never ever seen a delay like that, I use fb ads very regularly and although their stats are slow to update compared to other platforms it's never anymore than 2-3 hours so perhaps you are doing something wrong..

Anyway OP as I said your best bet on any platform is to be running your own tracking so you get up to the minute tracking on your clicks to your lander and much more, take a look at CPVLab or if the budget is a bit lower starting out then look at Prosper202/tracking202 - this can be easily installed on a vps or dedi, however if you're not very tech savvy there are hosts which will provide servers with this already setup and installed for you such as "future hosting" one of the main hosts for affiliates out there and who I use myself.

1 hour is too soon but 1 day is really long time. Its starts with in 1-2 hours if the ads satisfy all the terms.

Haha it does happen believe it or not. I'm guessing you haven't "burned" through enough accounts to come across this problem yet. :p

Not all accounts experience this but it still happens.

Or maybe you're doing whitehat ads?

I've done all sorts with FB - page promotion, legit promotion for my viral news site and cloaking (where yes I have burnt many).. Even with cloaking the ads need to be compliant though so not sure about terming them bh or wh, I turn the cloaker on after the ad is approved obviously.

But anyway let us know how you get on OP :)

After everything outlined in this thread I suppose the terminology is the question. There's a difference
between when your ads are served and when you see results. For my purposes on FB I never looked
at the time they went live as much as I did analyze the data after it started trickling in.

It takes the Zuck some time to fire up his shills and click your ads ya know! ;)

Yeah I mean, it doesn't happen to all accounts. I'm just disagreeing when you said that "100% of of the time FB doesn't take a day" when it comes to impressions. :p

I've experienced it recently and I just wanted to give my 2cents. :p

Sure man, I must keep an eye for that then as I'd be pretty pissed if that didn't update as it'd also mean your spending wouldn't be updating as they seem to update at the same time, that would be a pain in the ass!

    Haha yeah.

This usually happens when my account is being "manually" reviewed after an ad has been "retro'd".

But when my account is on straight "auto-approve" then I can get impressions as soon as 2-4 hours after the ad has been approved. Then that's when I start receiving clicks.

Well it's been a couple of hours now and FB is showing that its "Active" with 0 impressions, and my affiliate offer i'm using has some basic tracking and the views on that have not increased much at all.

Perhaps it is just due to new years?

Will see how it turns out tomorrow, then adjust if needed.

    Thanks :)

Please tell me you're not doing the FB ads + CPA offer method?? It's been done to death, you'll end up paying lots of money for very little conversions.

Ignore the silly journals and methods on here that tell you otherwise, they're full of ****!

Auto-approved and hand reviews are the key here.

Auto-approved ads go live in less than 30 minutes in all the accounts I manage.

If your account has had to be hand reviewed in the past, then it will take you as long as it takes the reviewer to look at it.

In my experience Facebook reviewers for apps, permissions and ads are not exactly the friendliest bunch. To say the least.

Oh yes promoting CPA offers does not work anymore sure thing, same way seo is dead.. Thanks for the insightful post!

Yeah I think we got our wires crossed last night, he didn't mean the approval of the ads the OP said his ad was approved already but he wasn't seeing the stats on the fb side go up, I told him it usually only takes a few hours from personal experience.

You stupid or something? CPA offers promoted by FB ads is done to death by people with a lot more knowledge than yourself, it's no game for noobs.

I'm not attacking anyone, I'm saving them time and money.

I put money on the OP coming back a week later complaining about how he lost money with this method.

Firstly I'm far from stupid and you have no clue whatsoever how much knowledge I have.. Also you are attacking people here "are you stupid" "no game for noobs" you've been here all of 5 minutes but seem to think you know everyone and everything although keep it up as with an attitude like that you likely won't be around long.. of course CPA offers promoted via fb are working if you're creative enough anything will work.. to say they don't shows you're the noob not the OP and certainly not myself.. Away back into the hole you crawled out of with your negative bullshit.
