Just wondering how long I should keep a high PR link that I'm paying for live. I've read somewhere that 3 months is enough for G to stick that juice to your site. After I take it off will I lose the ranking though? What are your opinions. Also it's a PR8 with 19 OBL and it's almost $500 a month. Should I rely on just that one PR8 or should I use that money to buy a bunch of pr6's and pr5's?

When the link is removed G will notice that and will reflect your rankings after a while

Sometimes one good link is better than few not that good links, so i think it is hard to tell what would be better for you to keep it or to get other links for the money, because not only PR that matters, but domain authority, content relevance, topic relevance and etc...

Ok, I think I'll have to do more research. Maybe I'll start off with something a little lower PR but more relevant..
