How long did it take for your youtube channel to start getting recommended?

So i made a YT channel about a weak ago, i uploaded 3 videos, all i'm doing right now is posting the videos on relative subreddits such as r/videos.
The type of videos i'm making are text based and they're not searchable
do i just keep uploading and hope they start getting recommended and in the (watch next) section?

I would suggest that you warm up the actual youtube channel before posting any videos. Liking, watching videos, commenting on them etc..

Just one video and probably a month at max. The video took off and is currently at 450k views and my other videos got some passive traffic as well. Had two waves of recommendations and then it just died.

Check out my journey thread if you need more info : https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/rws-journey-to-a-100-000-subs-on-youtube.1298065/

Edit : I probably could’ve ridden the recommendations wave if I kept uploading content but it’s sort of fallen to the wayside.

Haha you just confused me, and i'm sure you're confused yourself because your channel got recommended after first video and then died!! lol, where are you at now with you channel?
Do you recommend warming the channel before uploading?
What do you think of this guy and his first TIP

Not the ‘first’ video. I said all it took was one video. I had uploaded regularly for a month before my channel got its break.

The video that took off was recommended in the first wave and about two weeks later got an even bigger influx of traffic. And then the traffic stopped coming.

Got about 400 subs organically and around 7000 comments when the video went viral. I considered myself a professional youtuber back then lol.

As for the video, I don’t listen to what they’ve got to say. It’s usually the same rehashed bullshit about tags, title and shares. I prefer to do my own experiments and figure things out because what works for them might not work for me and vice versa.

Oh ok sorry i didn't get it at first...
So are you still uploading or what? with 400 subs you can still get initial views and if the viewrs are watching the whole video maybe it will get recommend again and go viral! or i guess it all depends on the videos you make...

Back in 2018, a video that I posted on my channel went viral, I don't know what triggered the algorithm but I got ~400K in 2 months then it got taken down

Youtube loves consistency. Some videos may get ranked and start getting traffic solely based on your keywords but with most niches, the more you upload, the more likely one of your videos would hit the recommendations of some users. But keep working on your thumbnails and titles. Youtube also pushes clickable thumbnails and titles.

Unfortunately no. As I said that project has fallen to the wayside. I might start uploading soon but just caught up in offline work.

One year and a half; but it lasted only 6 months then i lost all the traffic... I can barely get 1,5k views
