I bought a domain with the keyword that gets 6,000 searches monthly. The keyword gets 5 cents estimated CPC but the sub keywords get 30 cents or so. Is this bad? Should I look into another niche?

What about the keywords under the main keywords....they are 30 cents to 40 cents but the main keyword is 5 cents. How does that work with Adsense then exactly? Am i going to be getting the 5 cent ads or the 30 to 40 cent ads?

Seems like OP is asking how Adsense rates are calculated based on your domain name, etc. I'd be interested in understanding that better too. I do think its probably a lot more than domain name, I imagine the keywords in your content and backlink anchor text may have something to do it with it...

You could end up with much higher paying keywords in your content. That's where I would focus my efforts. There may also be another phrase with the keyword you can use for the domain that is related but has a higher cpc. Your domain name doesn't really dictate which ads appear, your content primarily does.
