    hello BHW
i have a question, many of us believe that when we are linked out to another authority site like youtube or wikipedia, we are gaining positive contribution for our site's SEO
my question is, should the link to authority be set for "follow" or "rel=nofollow"?

    thanks for answer

I've never bothered making my outbound links nofollow and it's never harmed any of my sites.

I honestly think the difference is insignificant as I have done both on various sites and never really caught any ranking adjustments from that variable but the majority of mine are no - follow.

nofollow still leaks page rank, but doesn't give the targeted page any page rank.

So basically if you get no benefit from sending PR to the site, then don't do it and add nofollow, keeping your ******** OBL's low is most likely a way of saving yourself from future updates.

Nofollow is better and good for SEO health of your site comparing to do follow, but if the content is smiler on both sites then there will be no issue with do follow links.

Hey OP, this may help you understand the difference between setting "follow" and "nofollow" in an outbound link. http://www.wordstream.com/blog/ws/2013/07/24/follow-nofollow-links

hello, thanks for the refference, but i am still get confused because some other tells to ******** the outside authority link like wikipedia, but some others tell to set nofollow
