I own a lot of SEO tools and consider myself to be pretty good with churn and burn type rankings. But, I just wondered what most of you guys are ranking these days, I was looking into Amazon product reviews but anything I look at has huge competition. It either has the MASSIVE top 5/10 review authority outranking everything, or it has the actual platform Amazon reviews at the top so not really rankable.

I read over a LOT of promising sounding guides on here and other forums, I always get caught up in them and then start digging around on the likes of Amazon, but yeah as I said above no matter what I look at be with: {Best|Buy|Top} type keywords they always have to much to compete with, perhaps I'm missing a trick or something on this?

We can't be good at everything. You say you are good at SEO. But, you are not finding low comp amazon keywords. That means you might not be that good at amazon keyword research. You could spend some time on it and good at it or you also have the option of buying keywords from some services here. Remember, amazon keywords do not need to have best, top, review to succeed, you can also get descriptive product keywords which also work very well.

For eg: best dog collars or top dog collars or dog collar reviews are obviously buy centric but competitive. There is no reason why a keyword like black dog collar or pink dog collar or dog collars for small dogs will not do well on Amazon.

Ste has a very successful keyword research thread going around (DISCLAIMER: I HAVE NOT BOUGHT A KEYWORD FROM HIM BUT THE REVIEWS IN HIS THREAD ARE VERY GOOD) Disclaimer necessary so that Ste doesn't lose his shit.

Jared is also popular for low comp amazon keyword research.

Both of the above services cost on the higher side.Personally, I have used Andres and some other guy and I would definitely recommend Andres.

    All the best

Thanks, yeah I saw their services on here already actually. I'd rather learn for myself however, than pay out that type of money for one keyword.

I mean you don't need to go with the big boys. but you could buy a couple of keywords from the averaged price services to get an idea of what kind of keywords are you looking for when targeting amazon.

One tool i can recommend is keyword revealer for your research or long tail pro is pretty decent too
