How is .community domain in terms of SEO?

    If you wanted to start a forum, would you consider going for a .community domain or would you just stick to .com, .net etc? Asking in the context of rankings.

    It very difficult to build links for them. Most of the websites won't recognize them as link. I don't recommend them

    I would stick to traditional ones , but still ....
    community is itself 9 characters long. I would go for it, if I get a 2 or 3 letter domain.
    .forum/.talk/.discuss/.board would be way better if they exist.

    .community is just way too long imo, I would stick with .com.
