How important is it to have your keyword in H1?

    Im having issues between trying to do the best onsite seo while writing the best copy I can for the site. Its an offline business. How important is it to have keyword in the H1 heading?

    It is probably one of the most important on page ranking factors. That being said you can rank without it but it would certainly be easier with it.

    I always use "my keyword" in a short description for my H1 tag. ie not just "my keyword" but "this is "my keyword" and so on".

    Does anyone know how to add h1 in PHP (wordpress)? I followed the directions from a write up to go into header a put it in above <head> but then I just had the keywords at the top left of my site.. is this normal?

    The simplest way to add the h1 in PHP would be to use a SEO plugin that automatically does it or guides you to doing so. More manually, you could look up some guides on the web like these:

    Ok another question then and this is totally noob but Im kinda confused now. If I put the keyword in my title and description in my all in one SEO does the keyword have to be in the H1 on the page?
