How important is a proxy on youtube

I am a mega n00b and was wondering. If I am not spamming do I really need to worry about using a proxy on youtube?

If you use more than one account you'll probably need proxies.
Proxies are just required if you want to take multiple identities to avoid being banned as all those sites only allow one account per user
