Most sites i have has just one ore few pages of content, ranking top10 for most of my kw. However no matter how many web20, link pyramids, blog comments, high pr links, article links i add, all sites don't move up in the serps.

Should i add a lot of content, cos it's the problem ?

It is not about the amount of content, it is more important that the content you do have is unique, well-written, relative to your keyword and has proper keyword density.

As they say, "Content is king". It never hurts to keep gradually adding new, relevant, keyword-rich content.

My content is unique, i use my employees to rewrite relevant articles by hand. I was just wondering can lack of "a lot" of unique content have massive impact on seo ?

Yes, content is king and if G eventually thinks that you are an authority in your niche you will be handsomely rewarded. Internal linking with anchor text is pretty important and it is suprising how often this is neglected. Of course, without the correct number of backlinks you won't be able to dominate your niche.

Quality is obviously the paramount factor but yes, google loves amount of content too. So a lot of content + quality = Top SERP's

creating blog posts that have titles relevant to the target phrase and using an internal link within that post to homepage could be very helpful.

Not forgetting time. Make the unique content and get it out there with the relevant anchors back. Plod away even if it first you don't see results. It will come in time.
