Well, I have always struggled at making money online, until I joined hackforums and found out what Social Engineering was. So, I social engineered like 5 bf3 keys and sold all of em for a net profit of $48.00 in just over an hour.

Obviously you can make alot more money if you set your heart to it, but for 1 hour, $48 isn't bad.

I know this post is LQ, but Im going to be real soon.

So you basically scammed someone , or fooled someone into giving you those bf3 keys right. Isn't that what social engineering is?

How is it not scamming if they were stupid enough to fall for it?

If you told someone you will give them $300 if they gave you $20 and they gave it to you and you ran off it wouldn't be scamming because they were stupid enough to fall for it?

The first post would have been more 'tasteful' after reading the title, if you would've just said "Just like that" xD

Making $48 one time isn't really $50/day. That would be something consistent. Yeah, you dropped out of your method, but would it have been sustainable in the first place? Probably not.

Thats not $50 a day, it's $50 in a day. By that logic I could say, make $300 a day making someone a wordpress site with a bootleg theme from elegant themes.

I think you're confused as to the meaning of social engineering. Telling someone a lie in order for them to give you something of value is not social engineering. They're just a social retard and you're a social bastard for scamming them. Get a real method.

he still gave the customers something in return for their money so its not a scam. its a scheme. a scam is when you say something like "i will give you this tshirt for $10" and then you take the persons $10 and never give them the tshirt. scam and scheme are 2 different things. get your words and terms right guys. so, with that being said, the OP didnt scam them, he schemed them, no one forced the customers to purchase his product.
