    2. Start, often

The hardest part is often just starting. I?ve found that it?s especially hard for me to start when a task is difficult or complex. The more importance and weight a certain activity has in my life or business, the more I seem to put off starting.

However, if I can just get moving on it, even for a few minutes, it tends to get easier.

Because I know this about myself, rather than setting the intention to finish something, I resolve myself to start. The more often I start, the easier things get finished. Overcoming that first bit of inertia is the biggest challenge (just like getting started on a run, or the first push of getting a car moving).

Once things are moving, momentum is on your side.

It's very true, first gear uses most energy.

And if you need to stop procrastinating, this dude has all the answers...

Seriously, I used to be in the self-help niche and came across so many of these types. They've flooded the niche!

    That's why when I wakeup.

The first thing I do, I will drink some plain water, open my laptop. And straight done the job. No facebook, youtube, BHW and more.

I find it is always good to start a list of things to get done for the day. If the task is complex, write down all of the steps one by one that need to be accomplished to get the bigger job done. Cross everything off the list when you get done with the specific task.

Hit the gym before work and have a good breakfast!

Todo list always helps too so you can check off things and get a nice little boost during the session. What I hate is waiting for people to get back to me so I can not finish a task. I find it hard to move on to the next one in this case.

I love my whiteboard - My target is written very large on it and then the steps to achieve the target with empty checkboxes are below it. I keep my whiteboard central so it's always visible when I'm at my desk. Every time I look at it I get pissed that those things aren't done which helps motivate me to finish the task so I can put a checkmark in the empty box. The more checkmarks, the closer I am to achieving the target!

I got high as fuck last night and slept until noon. My sleep and drugs were pretty on point and productive.

Completely agree. Having a detailed to-do list with tasks (so you can "start" something without putting in any mental energy) has been very helpful for me, especially later on in the day when I'm totally wiped but still want to finish up one or two things.

That's why I like linux so much...

So easy to just code up some kind of solution easily that will make a little prompt, asking me to start a random project from a random folder, click yes, opens up a bunch of windows all set up.

Click no, sleep for 30 mins then pop it up again.

    Automation, scripting, linux is awesome!

Usually the first step is the hardest, but after that there are no problems! :)

Here, let me tell you what are my routines before I start doing my job, go on training and even hanging out in the downtown...

The first thing that I do after I finish with my breakfast is preparing the tea with honey and coffee with less sugar. Usually, the first 30 mins while I am drinking the tea are hard for me, after that I start with my coffee and my engine continue to work on full speed!

Before I go on my other activities, I always meditate so I can restore my energy. ;)

Reading this back, it might look like I was endorsing the guy in the video. I was actually being sarcastic.
