    Home Page:
I?m in love with authority sites and can?t help but create more. It?s no longer a profit thing but has become a hobby.

When I started out I was into the 5 page websites. Unfortunately, my well being was being affected by constantly checking my adsense account hoping to have made the magical $1 a day. There are those who can handle that. I on the other hand, am not suited for that.

So I got lucky and invested in X-factor original ebook. You can get the new one on BHW http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...-get-xfactor-authority-adsense-guide-new.html
I decided to take a leap of faith and just add content. After all, I had not made significant amounts of money so why not try another method.

I also decided to stick to one page building platform, ie wordpress. I was very good at Joomla but it quickly occurred to me that my wordpress sites were doing much better than my joomla sites. So I stuck with it.
I repurposed all my niche websites to authority sites and let things run. Now when I build them this is what I do. I hope it helps someone out there.

    Stage 1: Keyword Research

Rather than guess my way to a heart attack, I tend to piggy bank on the success of others. There is always someone much brighter or luckier than you. So instead of picking keywords from my mind, I just take the best websites I can find online and run those sites through SEM Rush. You don't have to sign up for SEM rush. Go to fiverr and get one of those gigs.

    Where do I get them?

I go to flipper, especially with the sites with adsense earnings and just type these in SEM Rush.
I go to Alexa, pick a niche and find the most trafficked websites. Take these again to SEM Rush and another set of keywords pops up.

I look at my competitors and do the same to them.

I pick as many of these keywords as I can and move on to the next stage.

The idea is to find someone else who?s more successful than you are and get ideas from them. Yes, I?m very low on ideas, doesn?t mean I won?t succeed.

Next: I use this method which I know works very well to filter the keywords.
    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...ethod-step-step-keyword-research-newbies.html
Yes I know its hard, but I?d rather work hard in the beginning rather than the end.

To assist, I?ve found that Stealth Keyword Tool is the closest to achieving this. You can use any tool you wish.
The idea is to get a number of keywords that are in your niche that have low competition that you can write content for.
It is important that at this stage you identify the keywords early. Content strategy is key to your success so get it written down early.

    Mini-Step: 1.1

Create Your Content Strategy Now. Once you pick your keyword, create a content strategy that notes down, the date you are going to post an article, where you are going to promote it (eg twitter, linkedin, facebook etc). I have overly simplified this section as there is more to be done here with a good content strategy.

Just know you have have to put it down in excel format and you must have

    1. The article title
    2. The keywords
    3. The LSI keywords
    4. Where it is going to be distributed and when

I do this because I realised that it is easy to forget another article you setup on your site and you forget to market it. I market every article on my site. The distribution through social networks is key to helping with this.

    STEP: 2 Writing the Content

Once the keywords have been identified, the next thing is to write content for these.
The content must attract humans. I?m in love with SEO but I don?t see the need to waste my time writing articles that human beings won?t read. It takes about the same amount of effort to write sensible content as to write garbage. So why write the garbage?

I?m a believe in LSI keywords. So you will find me stuck with looking for lsi?s to add to my article for the particular article I?m writing.

I use the free tool http://lsikeywords.com/ to get the lsi?s I wish to have in my article. I like going for the longer tails. Please note you don?t have to be a mathematical freak to write these articles. Just pick the lsi?s that make sense in your article. If you are thinking too much when you?re writing, then the article will be hard to read. As you write just use the lsi?s like a thesaurus.
For those who are more inclined to do extra work, you can try using http://webcontentstudio.com/ . I use it occasionally when I need extra work done. But to be honest, the free tool and good writing will suffice.

Note: One article per keyword only. Even if I use the other keywords in the list, they aren?t the target.
Please take note of the keyword and the LSI?s you have used. You will need this later.

    Step 3: Setting Up Wordpress

Once you are done writing your articles. I usually do 10 as a minimum to start with. I go setup wordpress.
I use the following Plugins as mandatory for my sites:

    Security

Wordfence, akismet, Never using fantastico nor softaculous, using database prefixes that have nothing to do with wordpress. And always always, updating my wordpress to the latest versions.

    Site Speed

Quick Cache, wp smush it. I?ve found a good host is also important. There is little time to deal with issues that crop up as you are building authority. That is why I always start these sites with hostgator. I?ve found their customer support to be fantastic in the past 8 yrs. It?s not hostgator that?s key, its support that key. So shop wisely.

    SEO

Permalinks, link juice keeper, google xml sitemaps, dagon design sitemap generator.

I also look for themes that allow me to add shortcodes easily. The reason is that I want a call to action at the end of all my posts. I don?t want them to be generic at all. I prefer them to be custom eg. I write an article about how to choose the best wigs, I want to add a button at the end of the article that says something link ?Click Here and Get Started on Choosing Your Wigs? or something to that effect. I want to drive the people who read this article to a particular product or service that has something to do with the article.

For SEO I use SEO Ultimate. The reason is simple. It allows me to use silo structures. Silos are some of the most underated items these days. But they work. After you write the article, SEO ultimate allows you to add keywords that will link back to the article from other articles on your site automatically. Remember the LSI keywords and the main keyword? That?s what I add to this section.

Tags are mandatory in all the articles. I have seen that in low competition keywords, tag pages outrank article pages and even home pages. The tags are the main keyword plus the lsi keywords.

    A few things to Note

There is a reason I?m building this websites other than just getting adsense mullah. I want consistent readers to my website. That is why a list is mandatory in the beginning. I use mail chimp to gather my list. You will find a lot of call to actions to get them on my list. If I don?t have an affiliate offer, I have an offer to join my list at the end of every article and the first thing on the side bar.

I also have a resources section where users can download whitepapers, case studies and how to?s content. To download these, you have to join my newsletter. Sign ups are high if I have a dedicated page for ?free? resources.

For those with real businesses, this section is invaluable. I cannot overemphasis this. If you had planned on blogging 7 times a week, reduce this to 5 times a week, create a pdf of a case study on the other two days and give them out on download.
There are more things to do with this, but if you start your site this way, then incorporating an SEO strategy and a Social Media Strategy later makes a lot of sense and gives you more mileage.

Good Luck everyone and I would love to hear new twists to this.

Next I will Talk About How I Optimise Content for Maximum Results and a bit of Social Media

There are 2 things I always do. Install one in ''All SEO plugin'' and 'smartlinks' (if you are using wordpress). You don't want to miss them.

Great help, I find optimizing for speed makes a big difference and a host can kill your site speed so I avoid certain hosts I have had issues with.
