Hello, I have been reading these boards and I was very impressed with what I've seen and learned so far. The information I found here is exactly what I needed to give me a push to start making money online, legit. Quick thanks to the guys who posted before me; particularly Meathead1234 and his "easy 100$ a day perfect for noobs" thread & to BassTrackerBoats and his "If I can make 189.00 a day using, Fb" thread - I printed out these two threads and studied them and basically combined them and did the following with the following results.

I identified a niche ; ( arts & entertainment related ) that is fast growing and popular.

    I created a domain and a FB page... ( Mid January )

I also created a product ( digital ) for this niche ( took me about 10 hours work ); which I promoted heavily on above FB page.

I started promoting my Domain, FB page & Product via "spamming" groups and pages that were relevant. In this case; it was partially a hyper localized product aswel so I also spammed news pages, to get sales. ( Late January )

Around the 11th of January ; something amazing happened. I woke up to find that a post I put up ( sales post ) for my digital product had gathered over 1000 likes, 200 + comments & dozens of people absolutely fawning over it. Also, about $ 200 in my paypal account.

So I'm very excited, so I decide to buy a computer and start a company. So I do, I check my state laws and they allow me to operate as a personal business and sell stuff as long as I don't make too much.

Late Jan / Early Feb - I get contacted by a television news producer in my city. They send me a FB message to my FB page that I set up, saying they love my product and they want to mention my product on air, as it's topical. I agree, but the segment gets dropped for time and it doesnt air.

Then I get a email from a local art periodical. They want to interview me and they love my product. (Its an arts an entertainment magazine w/ about 250K monthly readers ) I do the interview and it goes into print & it's awesome but doesn't really help my sales on my product.

I figure, hey, all this targeted FB posting must be helping visibility of my product and myself, right? So, I roll with it. I keep posting and around febuary 13 - I get an email from Hallmark. They love my product. They want to sell my product in the Crayola store in my town. So I of course agree, they work with me and I set up a quickbooks online account and they walk me through the process of sending an invoice to them and their procedures. I go deliver a certain amount of my product to them & all is well.

Then I get a call from another Television producer, this time from another station. They want to interview me , they love my product and they want to interview me in the Crayola store. So I agree, I drive down to the place & walk in they have my product set up right there in the middle of the store. Awesome! So I do the interview, no problem and boom. That night I'm on T.V. I got it recorded and everything and it was huge exposure but heres the thing....

IT DIDN'T HELP MY SALES AT ALL. Not even a little guys. Seriously, as amazing as it was and fun and cool to do, it did not help me sell anything. So.....I go back to the drawing board where the idea train started (where I should have started! ) on blackhat and re- read Meathead and BassTRackers threads...

Basically to the basics and brush up on here once again to get some new perspective on how to monotize... (EDIT - Just to make it cear, its at THIS Point that I realize the success of my previous digital product was at the very least due to the effectiveness of the Internet Marketing methods on this page; ie - the news crew wouldn't have seen my product if I hadn't spammed the page; the newspaper wouldn't have interviewed me if I hadn't spammed their page - in fact, being in that newspaper is what the people at Hallmark and Crayola saw outside their building and they read about my product and myself in that and that's how they got ahold of me - so I realized basically it all stemmed back to selling via internet marketing.....so....

I put my first product, first domain on hold (still making good $, but I automated the process by taking out the physical product and only doing digital, via selz and they send the digital product automaticaly for me and pay me and take out like 8 cents; not bad ) and so I started over basically with posting affiliate links ---

SO - I started and Amazon Affiliate - started a NEW domain, started a NEW fb page, started a Pinterest - (same niche, only less localized )

I joined about 25 niche related groups on FB ( going to join more, but wanted to become active in the groups also by posting, commenting etc )

Started posting 2 times daily ( around 3AM and around 3PM ) to all 25 groups via the "open 25 tabs" method that BassTrackerBoats pointed out. ( mid march )

Well - here are my results in the past 2 weeks ( my first two weeks) on Amazon Associate -

    4.11.16 - 15.00 ( little test - just posting in a few groups )
    4.12.16 - 2.33 ( after effects of little test )
    4.13.16 - 4.15.16 - ( nothing - I was distracted and not sticking to a system yet )
    4.16.16 - 4.35
    4.17.17 - 18.12
    4.18.18 - 46.51
    4.19.19 - 22.50
    4.20.16 - 32.59
    4.21.16 - 6.97
    4.22.16 - 26.77
    4.23.16 - 38.37
    4.24.16 - 17.01
    4.25.16 - 41.85
    4.26.16 - 52.13
    4.27.16 - 20.38
    4.28.16 - 25.84

    First 2 Weeks Total - $ 374.80 ( amount sold - $ 7,140.49 / 447 items ordered / 390 shipped )

SO there it is. Thanks for reading all this if you stuck through it; I apologize for my organization and if theres anything missing here; just ask and I will add it. I can add screenshots and verify and of this info, just ask for it and let me know what to post because this is my FIRST post and I am not entirely sure what's acceptable here. STill a noob!

In closing, BIG THANK YOU to Meathead1234 and BassTracker for the threads mentioned above, without them I wouldn't have gotten this far. Thanks for reading again and I Look forward to updating in another 2 weeks! ( mid april ) for my 4 week progress report !
*quick EDIT - Here is my basic method ( 45-60 mins daily tops )

    1. Post in 25 FB groups 2X daily ( 3am & 3pm )

    2. Follow 300 Pinterest Accounts who are following "premium" products in my niche.

    3. Use tweepi ( it's glitchy I don't recomend it, I'm thinking of not using it anymore actually ) to follow 250 twitter Accounts that follow "premium" product accounts in my niche.

    * Things I'm changing in this for the next 2 weeks -

    a. I'm going to start writing 10 - 20 different lead ins, for my posts in these groups. As was suggested, it was a good idea because I had my FB blocked from posting in groups for 3 days ( thats what that blank period between 4.13 and 4.16 was now that I think about it ) so thats no good and dont do that. SO thats one change -

    b. I added up the people in the 25 groups I post in, it's a little above 115,000 people. I want to expand my reach to at least double that or around 300,000 by the end of week 4.

    c. I am at almost 1,000 pinterest followers, a little above 1,500 FB fans on my page & not very many hits on my website at all, but through low competition niche keywords that I rank for pretty easily, thanks to some articles that got written about me. I want to get pinterest to 2000 followers and FB page to 3,000 fans by week 4.

    d. I just overall want to keep learning and making this better and branching it out; about 50 % of my sales right now are from the domain ( domain # 2, thats only a couple weeks old ) so I want to grow the content on the site by at least 7 articles by the end of week 4.

    - C

Thank you, I see every day as a chance to learn more and take it a step further! Appricate your comment & encouragement - Although I have to give the credit not to me making a stunning product; but to me turning my easily made digital product into a "stunning" product via utilizing the tools I've found on this site - in particular the "targeting" "niche" groups. It was just good timing + a good niche / crossover niche product that worked well locally and nationally.

I attempted to edit this post to include links to Meathead1234's post & BassTrackerBoats post - BHW has policies in place for Noobs and I am not allowed to post links yet until I donate or post more. Both awesome posts can be found pinned at the top of the page on the "making money" forum here in BHW. I will include the links as soon as I can; to make them easier to find but mostly - HUGE credit to both of those guys; they're posts were what inspired me.

It looks like you have knack for developing the type of product you developed, so IMHO while you're optimizing your sales funnel and expanding your reach, you should also make time to start expanding your product line. People have bought your product and like it, maybe you should start building a higher tier version with a higher pricetag or additional products that would allow you to make money from the same person more than once.

This is great to hear and very inspiring. Thank you for sharing. I'm very eager to make a product and get it out there so I can try all the wonderful advertising methods that I've heard on this forum (specifically social media such as Facebook).

Good luck to you in the future!

    Hi FidelCashflow,

First, let me congratulate you on your success. Keep going!!!

I am not very familiar how Amazon operates, but I have to ask. If you sold over $7000 worth of products, and you are also the one who made the product in the first place, how come you only earned little over $370+ ?

Who is getting most of the money ?

So you spent 4 months to make $373....

Wow...sorry to say, but that's a complete waste of time, $373 wont even pay most peoples 1 month car payment.

Most Mis-leading thread title in a long time.

Keep it up at this rate you might make $1000 in a whole year......

Hey guys, sorry for the long wait but here is my update -

First to answer a couple questions :

    1. The product I made and the products I was promoting through amazon were not the same product, so that's why I didn't get more of the percentage.

    2. I know it wasn't much to start, but it was an exciting start for me and it did end up leading to a lot more money. Here's how -

Okay, so April of this year I began the system outlined up in the original post; basically spamming fb groups with digital products and associate links; and building social followings in my niche ( Happy to report that the Pinterest has over 2k followers now and the FB page has just shy of 3k; those were my goals for four weeks in and it's taken all the way until now; but it's all been organic ). The website however, has almost zero traffic even though I think it's designed really cool and I've written about 8 articles with catchy pictures and lead ins, but that's a different story.

So In April I made around $ 400, and in May it was $ 800 + ( pics below ) . It was profitable; but it took continuous work.
    Untitled.jpg

I only kept this up through mid June, then dabbled a little with it in Aug / Sep and since September; I haven't done anything at all. I explain why but first, here are a few tips I learned -

-- If I missed a day or two posting regularly I noticed a drop; likewise sometimes people didn't like seeing the same kinds of posts over and over and I got some negative comments, but I just blocked those people and that way they can't see any more of my posts and I run less risk of getting reported for something lame; and the people who actually want the product I'm promoting don't get bummed out or suspicious by the nay sayers and overly weary for no reason.

-- Focusing on ONLY the people who want the product helped me; Id say about 60 to 70 percent of the commenters were people who couldn't afford the product and saw it as luxery and kind of commented low key negative stuff; to which I would always reply that it's understandable, but the quality, etc... That's another thing - always reply to all the comments and like them and only if they're too negative, block them. Like said above, if they aren't interested and you can't make light / positive small talk with them to relax the interested people who read it; then it's just not worth it to focus on them.

-- If you have a FB page, it helps to take a break once or twice a week and post your FB page url in the 25 groups, etc so you can boost likes. It works but it's not fast unless your doing a contest or giving something away, and you might find yourself making friends / enemies with various fb page moderators who are doing the same thing you are, some will be cool and others will be territorial. That goes with the territory though, where there is money to be made there is always somethin to deal with.

Okay so there are a few tips. Well after a month or two of constant posting and my digital product going out of style so to speak ( sports related, off season ), I chose to scour craigslist for digital work. I found a posting for a political writer for a website ( top 8000 us on alexa, I know that doesn't mean much but still) that payed very well and I've been doing that ever since.

40 hours a week writing / editing articles, sourcing images etc. Basically got the job because I was enthusiastic about learning more about making money online, etc and showed I had experience in at least trying. I've learned a lot in dealing with wordpress, uploading slideshows, listicles, writing and editing them - and a little bit about the "click arbitrage" I think it's called?

I have more questions than I did when I started, but it seems like the more questions I have the better and I couldn't be more glad I started this journey, as I not only made money with Amazon this year; but also 2k + a month via the writing position mentioned. I've never made that much $ doing anything in my life and there is no chance I'm backing down now.

Anyways, now that the Q4 is over, I'm not as needed as before with the website...

SOOO...for the next 3 months or so, I am going to dive back into this and see what I can do. Thanks for reading and any questions will be answered and I will post again an update as soon as I draft an outline of my next move.
