Great story mate, really happy for you. This year I sold one of my websites myself for a nice chunk of cash, but I used a broker, and although I paid a commission it was worth it because the price they got me for the site was a lot higher than anything I could have received on my own and they took care of the whole process, including making sure payment and everything went smoothly.

You actually got a great price based on your monthly profits, but with a broker you could have probably gotten an extra $1,000 - $2,000 after commissions, so consider using one for future deals. Happy new year!
yes i agree with your point, but i knew i can able to find the buyers. so didnt think to go for middle men.

Hi, very happy for you that you were able to pay off your debts. I am also looking to make a multi niche blog because I can't seem to find just one particular niche that I know much about. And just like you, I am a little short on money and cannot afford to buy a lot of stuff or hire writers atm. Can you give me advice on what I should do and what I shouldn't do. Thanks
1) Improve your DA fast
2) Allow people to publish content since you dont have money to spend on writer. (like guest posts)'
3) collect visitors email ids
4) dont buy any tool or shit, there are ton of free keyword analysers and rank checker.
5) join some well know fb and slack communities and be active.
6) build network and help as much as possible.

Thats it. You will see opportunity right behind you soon. Be positive and always think about improving the blog and keep good On-page score.

ya its all depend on how you are going to scale up further, if you can with more investment than go ahead and keep it. But if you are not able spend much on it, try selling it and make good money, invest in new blog, and keep the rest of it.

The problem is that it is a programming language related blog. This was my first blog and I started it just for documenting. Just 20-30 posts. There were just 10-15 visitors per day in the initial months. And I got busy with my work and moved off from using that programming language also. The next time I looked was in a few months. And behold the site is first for many search terms outranking even the official documentation and even StackOverflow. (The language is just in growing phase which surely helped). But now since I am not in that domain I do not have the willingness to learn it just for the blog. And it is not a fairly used one or else I could have got someone else to work on it.

Sorry, do you mind if I ask couple more questions? Great journey.

- Was that $300-$400 only through Adsense? Or did you monetise in different ways?
- How long was each blog on average? I'm interested especially in the one with 500 blogs - how many words altogether?

the problem with buyers , most of them sees only traffic but i had very low traffic but a stable income of $400 per month. I convinced the buyer its good and he agreed. this is what you need. Right buyer will sure understand if you have a really good product.

1) my major source of income was from sponsered ads and links, affiliates
2) keep it minimum 1000 words and make sure its not copy content. Also have a good onpage seo score.

Yes i have tried all those website flipping platforms like flippa, but not worked at all, and tried 1kprojects.com but found its a junk site. So i decide to promote with social media groups, thats where i found my buyer. He was genuine and agreed to my price. So before putting it in to sites like flippa , empire flippers, try by yourself finding the buyer in Facebook groups and Some slack communities as well. it will save your cost much more.

Awesome, it helps and I will keep that in my mind while flipping my blogs!

Congrats man. I have a blog that makes around 300-400 USD per month from Adsense. But I am still confused as to whether work on it or sell it. I am considering empireflippers to sell it if I decide to go that way.
I suggest you work on it. See if you can scale up current revenue per month.

Sounds ok and I'm glad you had a good experience, but if you had 500 articles on the website of at least 1k words, then you'd have at least 10k in content there. While the income multiplier sounds good for you, as that's about 20x monthly revenue, the content time/money cost seems to have negated most of your profit on the sale?

Thanks mate, you are great business man. Two questions, please?
Did you use WP or blogger? and did you buy a domain name for each one of them?
